  • Tesco value ham, recently dropped from 44p to 42p, now increased by almost 15% to 48p.
Tesco wild and whippy bars x10 (like milky way) from 98p to £1.07, almost 10%.
Oil prices were blamed as the main reason for all the rises, thats well down now, when will food be the same?

I don't know if I should start a new thread for this, but Morrisons "1000's of prices crunched" is doing the same thing. Gluten free bread was £1.97 a loaf a couple of weeks ago and is now £2.28

well ask morrisons about the price increase

tesco value meatballs are still 59p a tin today but the campbells have dropped from 52p to 50p. somebody's got to have got the tesco ones wrong how can a value range item be more dearer than a top brand.

Tinned meatballs - ew! Bought Campbells ones once for DS at his request, he couldn't eat them and after trying them I understood why!

If you have to buy them, the value ones probably the same as the so-called *top brand*

Well done to everyone in this thread for seeing off d.edna with such little fuss. Look at her posts elsewhere and you will see she works for Tesco's on the petrol forecourt and believes this means she is an expert on everything to do with supermarkets, because she's been on a couple of courses (or says she has). She is ably assisted by petty snipers on many other threads and often they get to hijack the debate by dragging everyone down to their level. They often succeed because they make people so angry. But no-one here over-reacted and because of this they have no argument.

Keep it going so we can have genuine debate in these forums, excellent work so far!

Not sure if i'm on the right thread here but tescos are really getting naughty on their so called special offers. Following the fiasco on the selection boxes which went up overnight, they have done the same on the ready to roast frozen stuffed pork joints. These were priced at £3, half price, usually £6. The promotion was due to run for at least another week then overnight they switch to £5 ea.
I think its a case of grab the bargain when you see it.

Not specific to Tesco, but I got two jars of Loyd Grosman sauce out of the cupboard yesterday. One was 425g. Another was 350g. No wonder they've all been on special offer recently - they've reduced the size of them!!

    At tescos:
Highlights Hot chocolate sachets, were 31p for a double pack on monday.

Tuesday they went up to 45p!!!

Have not had a look anywhere else but know Sainsburys did sell them for 31p and waitrose had been 40p. Seems Tescos is the most expensive place to buy them at the moment.
