Another Tesco Massive Price Increase

I quite agree. While mysupermarket is a tremendous help I do find myself flicking from one supermarket site to another to make absolutely sure. It does take time but I have become very quick at this. Does anyone else find Asda's website so difficult to use? This is the one that slows me down, it takes ages to get to the right item. I used to get all my "value" items from Tesco but since getting addicted to this thread in particular I am getting more and more from other supermarkets.0

I dont know if this has been posted previously of not but tescos own brand tinned fish tuna and salmon in particular have gone up in price enormously, their alaskan salmon, pink tin used to be a great buy at 80p,at the weekend it was £1.58, basically double!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0

I thought that the main reason for the hike in food prices was the increased price of fuel - now that it is coming down why are prices still rising? I hate how we are manipulated by the supermarkets. How much did the new packaging for Tesco's 'Discounted Brand' range cost? I'd rather they reduced the price on their value range rather than copy Aldi. As for ASDA, 'rollercoaster' would be a better description than 'rollback' for its prices - put them up, roll them back, put them up higher than they were previously, roll them back - makes you sick!0

He had a pointless moan so he got a pointless reply
Your reply may have been pointless, but my post was not. Anyone who read it will be forewarned at the experience they can expect at Tesco's customer service desk, which in this case bordered on incompetence (re: the "mandarin" description confusion).
Checking shelf prices is clearly policy - no problem with that in principle - but I think customers would expect common sense to be applied if there is a queue of 20 smokers (no exaggeration) waiting to be served by only 2 staff and given the amount involved. Rudeness and not resolving the customer's issue before serving another customer are, I would hope, not part of the Tesco training manual.
Re: pennies - I trust you are not suggesting that customers should simply accept being overcharged due to staff error? Such a stance does not immediately seem in keeping with the "MoneySaving" principle of the forum.
You will also note that I put my experience in smaller type so it could be more easily ignored by those uninterested. Unlike the larger type you chose to use.0 -

The larger type is to show off ignorance to the other posters.0 -

I don't know if I should start a new thread for this, but Morrisons "1000's of prices crunched" is doing the same thing. Gluten free bread was £1.97 a loaf a couple of weeks ago and is now £2.28 :mad:0
