Copy of a posting I made on the Credit Card Freebies Forum this evening.

I also applied for the Sony Card, only got 2000 "Beat" points on my first statement, so I telephoned and was told that the extra 6200 would be on the next statement.
I have just received my 2nd statement and found that I have been have finally got my full Beat points of 8200.
I then went onto the Sony Card Catalogue only to find that the MP3 player for 8200 points is no longer in the catalogue.
Can somebody please let me know the catalogue number/code so that I can phone up and try and order it??
According to SalaamSaraah, in a previous post, the order code was E-C04-1153, but in the online catalogue this code is now a CD Radio Cassette, which is 8300 points.
Update.
I have telephoned the 08700362444 number this morning (saturday) and the recorded message said the office was closed weekend's. I was invited to leave my telephone No and they will (hopefully) call me back on Monday. This was therefore a cheap phone call.
Thanks

Having trouble finding the MP3 player as well - there's a few that are 9500 so maybe sony are bumping up the points/cost to put people off taking advantage of the offer?
hopefully not as i wouldn't mind a mp3 player0 -
I believe the code for the MP3 was E-C04-1190 which as tonyp2020 says has been removed from the catalogue.0

I ordered the MP3 player in mid-December and received a letter this week dated 16th January which says the following:
Dear Sir/Madam
Re: SonyCard Pulse Scheme Reward
Thank you for participating int he SonyCard Pulsebeat Reward Programme.
Unfortunately, we are writing to advise you that we are still awaiting stock of the product you recently ordered.
We can only apologise for the inconvenience caused to you. Please accept our assurances that we are doing everything we can to rectify this issue and will send the product as soon as possible.
May we take this opportunity to thank you for collecting Pulsebeats and your interest shown in SonyCard.
Anybody else had this letter? Wonder if the damn thing will ever turn up.

I'm really annoyed about the fact that the mp3 player is no longer in the sonycard catalogue. I applied for the card so i could get the mp3 player. I waited until the points were on my statement and now the player isn't listed! It's a con! Can anyone confirm what the product code is please, because Sony are going to have one irate caller to deal with tomorrow!!:mad:0

Sony CC CS phoned me this morning.
The Nice Lady (NL) said that the fact that the MP3 player was missing from the on-line Catalogue was a mistake, yes they had some in stock, and she took my order for one and said I should received it inside 28 Days.
Anyone taking bets on the outcome??
Tony
Happyhaggis,
The NL at Sony CC CS seemed to know all about the MP3 player at 8200 points, she did'nt even ask me for the order code, and I forgot to check the number. It might be E-C04-1190. Good luck.tonyp2020 wrote:Copy of a posting I made on the Credit Card Freebies Forum this evening.

Just wondering what info do they ask for when you ring to place an order? just your card number?
