there is some s/w to do these (depending no the s/w version) if youve got the correct cable but you would be better (safer) to take to independent unlocking shop/market stall and get it done by unlocking clip for £5-£10.
there are a few code about but you will prob find they lock your phone up completely

i have a motorola timeport locked to orange. bought it really cheap on ebay cos i only need it for while my wife is in america. its tri band you see. can it be unlocked as she has an o2 contract, plus i'm just reading martins article on cheaper roaming.

Hi, I want to unlock my Siemens A55, and so far on these threads all I can find is that I need a 'cable & software'. I'm afraid this means absolutely nothing to me ... i.e. WHAT type of cable??? WHAT software???? Where do I get it from??? How much is a good price to pay, & how much is too much??
