dont know if any one has mentioned this one its https://www.uniquephones.com i have unlocked a couple of older phones ie. nokia 3310 and 8210 theses are dct3 phones from what i gather newer phones are dct4 you can also get software to let you know what your codes are dont know if they all work but all i know is mine did i got 2 codes it said that it had worked after the 1st code (but it didnt ) so i tried the 2nd code and it worked
I also got 2 codes from uniquephones, tried the first and got the message 'sim was not restricted'. :-/
Would I be correct in assuming that the sim is already interchangeable? ???
I have a Nokia 8210 (vodaphone) which I had converted from contract to PAYG in mid-June.'Puritanism: the haunting fear that someone, somewhere, may be happy'.

Can anyone advise with regard to security settings?
I got two unlock codes for an old Nokia 3210 from one of the sites mentioned in this thread and I got a 'Sim Restriction Off' message both times which I assume means they worked.
When I try to put in an o2 card though, I'm asked for a security code. (This is not the same as the pin code......I've already taken that off).
When I put the old Vodafone sim back in and go to the phone settings menu, there is a section that has:
Security Settings and in this menu there is:
Pin code request (off)
Fixed dialling (off)
Closed user group (preset)
Phone security (on)
Change access codes
I try to switch the phone security to off but it keeps asking for the security code.
Phone is other half's (very) old one and he swears he didn't set this to a particular number. Any ideas anyone ???Herman - MP for all!0 -
maybe going into settings and restoring factory defaults would workBe ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0

Thanks corinne8, I tried that but it didn't work. It wanted the security code for that too. >:(Herman - MP for all!0

i'd go back to the site you unlocked your phone on their bound to have some kind of help forum you can post your query onBe ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0

Well after signing up to other forums with security code query and with no joy, I sat ALL day with phone in hand punching in any number I thought might be relevant.
I eventually hit on the right one and got security settings off. BUT as soon as I put the new 02 Sim in, it comes up as BT CELLNET and manually trying to find the 02 network doesn't work, 02 isn't even on the list.....just BT, Vodafone and Orange.
Could this be because of poor coverage in my area, or possible a dodgy sim?Herman - MP for all!0 -
Have successfully unlocked a Samsung T100 before, and now I'm trying my Sony Ericsson T610
Bought a cable from ebay, very cheap! But I don't seem to be able 2 get a connection between phone & cable
Anyone recommend me somewhere (cheap!) to get the job done?
