Complicated pregnancy - what are the fathers rights and what should I do?

Situ - I think I'm pregnant. Could be partners, could be another guys.

Partner won't raise another mans baby.

When will I have a dating scan? When can I have a DNA test?

Does the father have to know if I'm having the baby adopted?

after the baby's born a DNA test can be done.

Not sure about the rest, so won't take a guess!

How does your Husband know about the other man? Did you tell him.

Are you certain you are pregnant? Have you done a test.

Do you love your husband? How long have you been married?

Is the thing with the other man over now?

Trying to get a fuller picture of the situation before commenting.

As stated DNA cant be done until birth of your baby

You wont have a scan until you do a test and register with a Doctor

Also I think you've made your decision regards to partner or baby, you clearly dont want your partner if your having sex with another man

No the father does not need to know if you want your baby adopted

Husband knows about the other man, I told him.

I've done two tests today, both positive.

We've been married for 5 years. I do love him.

I ended things with the other man about 3 weeks ago.

He says that he can't raise another mans baby, and he says he suppose it boils down to him or the baby.

I can't have an abortion, so options are have baby, or have baby adopted.

Sorry if a daft question, but how late is your period? How far ahead in pregnancy do you think you are?

Dating scan is done when you are about 12 weeks and you need to register with doctor before.

As my husband says - father is not whose the genes baby has, but who raised the child...

I'm either 6 weeks, or 20 weeks. I don't know. I'm hoping 6 weeks. I don't have regular periods, tend to miss most of them.

May I ask why you cannot consider/have a termination, especially if this will save your marriage.

Its going to be a long 9 months, you will grow to love your unborn baby, and to want to have it adopted after birth can be one of the most difficult things you will ever do, you really need to think about this, can you really see yourself having the baby adopted if the DNA test show it isn't your husbands.

I know what I would do, but I cannot tell you what to do. Please do not take this the wrong way, I wouldn't have had an affair with someone if I loved my husband and why on earth didn't you use protection.

You have some serious thinking to do, firstly about your marriage and secondly about the pregnancy.
