Next week is my last week at work for about 3 weeks! It's good to be a teacher, isn't it? But I'm freelance so I don't get paid
!!
A very slow start here this. Was out last night for a Christmas night out with one of my schools. Very nice it was too! Lovely meal.
Can't decide what to have from brekkie. Bored with toast. No bacon left. porridge? eggs? oh decisions decisions :snow_laug
I've got a couple of hours work today, and then out to see a film tonight. So mostly a chillout day ahead of me!
Have a good day everyone!0 -

Morning everyone and motivational (((hugs))) to you freya.
Had a fab night last night.Only spent £15,£10 of which was for the restof the meal and then the rest on 1 round of 2 drinks.Had a live band who were very good (but I'm sure not your OH, Jo, as the youngest of them was 55 :snow_grin
Clear head this morning too. Did get an attack of the 'red wine insomnia' , so ave had 2 hours sleep. Did I get up and do something constructive? Nah! In fact, still in my PJ's and just about to have my brekkie. :rudolf:
Today will be a clearing up and sorting kinda day. Mr TM has gone out with his cadets to earn some charity money so won't be back until teatime. I may pop into town - if I'm mad, because it's too grey and wet to do anything else nice.
Have some laundry to do, will check on DW, will put BM on too and think about tea shortly. May even make pizzas as have some mozzarella needs using up. (DS1 has just read that sentance and is grinning and licking his lips, so that's a done deal then)
OK peeps, must go and surf. Will also see if I kept the receipt for this keyboard because it's a pain having to go through and add all my spaces, at the end

Morning!
Feeling a bit more moneysaving/OS today so thought id post.. cant believe its before 10am on a saturday and ive already bought 2 xmas presents online.. got dressed blah blah blah and went to work (tesco) to see a manager (more on that in a min!) AND been for my weekly shopping.. even more shocking with a list and stuck to it except for a 20p tub of coleslaw that was an impulse buy!But... i made some greats savings!
Multibuy savings - £3.63
Staff " xmas bonus" coupons - £2 (£2 off a £20 spend)
Clubcard voucher - £6.50
Total savings £12.13! :j
Which is made even more amazing when my final total was only £12.15 so was 2p off paying only half price for everything!
That isnt just groceries though either i bought a hair dye as i needed one anyway and i got a 100 extra clubcard points coupon in my nov statement for it and some tights cos i needed them too and wanted to make sure i went over the £20 spend for my staff voucher.
Now on a down note.. what i went to see my manager about was about my new work nights now im cutting down to part-time cos of my depression. Doctor said i needed to work less nights and get a normal 20 yr olds life...... just found out (after not recieving the letter they should have sent and them not ringing when they said they would! see its not just the customers they mess about) that they have now rotaed me in ... of all the 7 days of the week they could have........ friday, saturday, sunday!!!!! HOW RUBBISH IS THAT?!!! The nights my friends will be going out and i would have had a chance to "get a life!".. Too be honest i wouldnt have minded one of friday or saturday in.. but BOTH! Think they have done it on purpose to annoy me so i'll leave cos they dont want me to work there anymore theyve made that clear even before i went off sick.
Still some shoppin to do cos tesco didnt have what i wanted or i know i can get it cheaper elsewhere. So off to do that.0 -
Sorry to hear about your work, Johanne. Best get started looking for a new one asap eh? Those aren't the 3 most sociable days to work are they?? Well done on your bargain shop though.
Freya, I have days like that when I struggle with motivation, too. Only try to do little things at a time, and don't be too hard on yourself. If you don't get round to doing the jobs today they will still be there tomorrow and the next day!
Today I have a friend coming round any minute just for a chat. I've showered, dressed and cleaned the bathroom, and OH has cleaned kitchen. I have to pick up a library book later, and go to clean my sisters room at mum's house for when she returns from uni next Friday. Have got a load of washing in WM, did 2 loads last night which are nearly dry on airers now. Tonight I'm going to a friend's surprise 30th birthday party- should be good!
Have a good day all.

Hi everyone
Am earning a few extra pennies at work today [just as well as the heating repair cost us £125!!] The small person is off on a christmas craft morning and then to the panto this afternoon with my parents so I shall spend the free time catching up on the ironing and then doing girlie things like nail painting!! I'm off on my Christmas meal tonight with my OH wearing my £7.50 charity shop outfit [such a posh chick] and I am ridiculously overexcited because we're going on the Bluebell Railway and both of us are being paid for by my boss!! :snow_grin
Tomorrrow it's going to be an OS day down at the beach weather permitting. Have now posted off all my cards, most of the pressies are wrapped and all the non perishable foods are in and it's all been paid for. Hurrah!!
Anyway I'm simply going to have to use all these new festive smilies- absolutely fab.
Have a great day!

Hi folks,
Feeling better this morning although rather depressed. this last 3 weeks have made us rethink things a bit and come to some hard decisions.
We are a little pressed financially and so have decided to give up our caravan and the big car, once they are sold, we will see what cash we have to buy a smaller car, less tax insurance etc........we are not too happy about giving up the van, but we have also decided not to travel abroad, or at least if we do it will only be for a short period and staying close to the channel ports. I did manage to transfer our proposed sailing date next week into a day trip in March so we can hit the supermarket in Boulogne, have not lost that cash......we are still trying to pay back debts incurred in our more foolish days, things will be much easier when we have and also if the move into sheltered housing comes off we will also pay less rent and heating and laundry costs are included in the rent along I think with the Council Tax. Not sure what will happen about the tunnel crosdsing we have booked for September, I used Tesco Vouchers for that so if we do loose it completely we will only loose £65.....£44 worth of vouchers and the £21 I had to pay to bring up the cost. I do not think you can transfer the booking to someone else......
Have not had the chest pains for a couple of days, gradually beginning to feel stronger but not pushing it....still waiting for the ECG report from the hospital, should get it Monday.
Did maange out yesterday to the library and into Wilkos for an energy saving light bulb for OH's bedside lamp, why are the free ones they send out always 100w equivilent, we only use 40w in the bedroom enough to read by...........
Nice sunny morning, one load of washing in the dryer for tonight, yesterdays airing on the radiators, had to turn the heating down, too warm......will see next week if I have the energey to get up in the attic and get some of the deccy's down, we do not put loads up anymore, just a few treasures that we were given when we went to the US for Christmas in 1992. I also have a couple of Christmas table cloths and a wall hanging that come out, oh and I almost forgot OH's christmas peg rug he made, another US present.
Gammon for supper I think I fancy some scallop spuds so need to peel some and steam them a litlle..... tomorrow pork chops I think so they need to come out of the freezer.
Have a good day.......

No they are not, but they are hardest to get filled with jobs. As I use to work full time and do an 2 nights a week stacking shelves in a supermarket on friday and saturday nights we where always down on staff. Normally you had to three nights but because we worked friday and saturday nights we got away with it.
Because no-one wants to work them and want to go out to the pub etc. And with christmas coming they need even more staff just to fill the shelves. So we can empty them all.
Yours

Early start today to take daughter to catch London coach. We were in Asda's for 6.46 am and out by 7.20.
OH has washed the windows and the whole of the front porch (using vinegar and water of course, and dried off with newspaper). The car has also been washed.
I tackled the huge pile of ironing and baked a tray of Almond Slices. Lunch was chopped spicy sausage in a tomato sauce, laid on a bed of pasta (all left over bits and pieces except for the pasta.
We love our OS life :j
Have a lovely OS day everyone!Enjoying an MSE OS life0
