:rudolf: Morning all,
I'm off to have my hair done too, also ready for the Pre-school ladies night out!
DD1 is 11 so 12 years ago, when I was a student I had a night out every night, not once a yearPlease someone with grown up kids tell me, do you ever get a life back? :snow_laug
Still madly cooking ready for DD2s friends to take over the house tomorrow, however chessboard shaped cake is done, star biscuits are done, pastry for pasties is made and so is pizza dough. Off now to make dough in the BM for rolls, and get my fairy cakes out of the freezer ready to ice.
I suppose I ought to make something for OH and DDs to eat tonight as well.
Enjoy your days everyone, Ticklemouse - have a great night out.
I do like to picture us all at 2.25pm making our cups of tea and sitting down to watch :money: together!

Morning everyone!
I hope you are all feeling well. Glad to see that the OS men are behaving themselves today! (Not you MATH, you are always well-behaved.)
DS has been packed off to school with all his clothes, football kit, etc for the weekend. His dad is picking him up so he has to have all his weekend essentials with him. Oh and he is swimming today as well, sometimes the school run looks like a house move!
Me and OH are off to Hathersage in the Peak District to spend the weekend in a bunkhouse with a group of friends. It should be great, we can go walking or just mosey round the village. We have a cooked breakfast both mornings then we have a Christmas dinner on Saturday evening. We all muck in with the cooking or washing up and the whole weekend (2 nights accommodation + breakfast + Christmas dinner) costs about £30or so each. I don't think the weather will be too kind though so I must make sure I take my waterproofs.
It makes a nice change to get away from all the Christmas shopping and hustle and bustle.
OH is in the shower at the moment, giving it and himself a good scrub. I will amke some chilli later so I can freeze some and take some with us for tonight's tea. OH will go shopping for other essentials for the weekend later.
Have a good day everyone and a great weekend!
Enjoy your anniversary P-P!

Morning :hello:
So much for finding something new to wear to the office Christmas party this evening. I "did" Matalan, Asda, H&M, Next and Outlet (Outlet is one of those places with lots of high street fashion shops all in one big shop) and couldn't find anything I liked at all, either for tonight or for the concert I need a new evening dress for. The thing is, the one I really NEED is the concert dress, and I didn't want to buy a party top as well unless I'd found a concert dress and come in under budget on it. I found one red chiffon and satin dress which looked perfect on the hanger but when I put it on the stitching was quite poor quality and the seams wouldn't lie flat.
So it's the trusty old LBD for this evening (with some fishnets I picked up in Asda) and a trip to Debenhams/John Lewis on Sunday lunchtime in the midst of the December hordes to blow my budgetAt least Debenhams is 10% off this weekend - 15% for me as I've got their storecard (paid off in full every time I spend on it, I hasten to add - I only got it so I could have a new customer discount last Autumn when I had to spend nearly £400 on various things).
Weekend will not be OS at all, thanks to its general packed-ness. I don't have time for any housework at all. I've taken Monday off work to rebuild my relationship with the WM and SC (last portion of spiced sausage casserole will be used up at lunchtime, and it was yummy so I might make it again but in the SC this time) and I might see if I can get a hair appointment while I'm about it. Feel bad about neglecting housemate who's having a Christmas party in his record shop tomorrow - I can't go as I have a rehearsal from 10 till 6 and then am going to a concert in the evening!
Queenie - I like your originality with the panto costume! Imagination is everything. I remember my sister having a "fairies and princesses" theme party for her 7th or 8th birthday, and me being 9 or 10 and not especially interested in fairies or princesses, so coming in a ruffle shirt, buckle shoes and knee-breeches as a pantomime hero (I've always liked that look, but these days I've got a bit too much chest to carry it off)
kiwichick - congratulations on selling the house! My BF should be exchanging contracts on his new place today, which means before too long I'll have somewhere to stay in Central London WOOHOO!! I'm aware it'll make or break our relationship - with him living in Surrey and me in Kent we've only been seeing each other once a week max.Operation Get in Shape

Good morning everyone,
Snowyowl's story about the kitten reminded me about our cat yesterday. She didn't come in the night before, and again in the morning there was no sign of her which is very unusual. We hadn't seen her since the afternoon and were beginning to get worried about her. Yesterday lunchtime when we got home we called her, and still no sign, we hadn't seen her for about 24 hours. Then I asked DS to look in the shed - sure enough, there she was! Very pleased to be let out, and ready for some food! At least she hadn't been out in the torrential rain overnight!
Today I have done very little, OS or otherwise. I had nearly finished the knitted scarf I was making last night & as there were only a couple of rows to go I thought it would just be a few minutes this morning. So I knitted & cast off the scarf.... typical me - I knew there was a reason why I never knit anything ... it was wider at the end than the beginning!!!!! So I threw it down, not sure what to do - then decided to get my revenge on it by unravelling it! Then I thought maybe I could start again more carefully ... then I realised it was nearly 10 o clock and I hadn't done anything other than put washing in TD.
I wonder if I am supposed to be doing anything today?0 -
Bargain Rzl - is your spicy sausage casserole on the recipe thread? Could you tell me where? I have a SC but only used it once.....

:xmassign: Morning all,
Really cold here today my ears are freezing especially since have had the hair cut early. Off for a meal tonight with O/H business friends and partners so thought I'd make the effort to impress and got a new top & trousers.
Dug out all the xmas decs out of the cellar for the :xmastree: tomorrow so need to move the furniture around in front room to accomodate.
Christmas parties all next week at pre-school so will need to do quite a bit of baking this weekend as been asked to bring things in every day.
Anyway, everyone whos going out have a great time those that aren't keep warm,
Bye all

Making cauliflower cheese for lunch and home made pizza for tea.
Starting to write Christmas cards and also want to dig through the chest freezer and sort food out into categories i.e. meat, fish, bread, veg, desserts, etc. and then put them into big plastic crates that can stack so that I can just lift stuff out as I need it.
DDs use the fridge, freezer and cupboards as an entertainment centre - burrow through stuff like frenzied squirrels and chuck it all over the place. Can never find stuff lol.
Hope to wrap the PJs I got in primark yesterday if I can get peace and quiet.:xmassign:"This site is addictive!"
