Have you read our posts PW? Putting the dishwasher on and doing something with left over chicken is news. Spotting a Robin in the garden or splashing out on a new duster has us reaching for the smelling salts so pleeese post away.
Yes we really are that nosey!

Spent most of today looking for pyjamas for dds and found some lovely ones in Primark.
Got home just in time to make stuffed tortillas - diced chicken, onions and peppers with garlic - grated cheese on top and then warmed in oven. Everyone really liked them and as it was the first time I tried this I am really pleased.
Treated myself to a new large dry frying pan from Aldi £9 and it has a glass lid - is dishwasher safe and is huge.
Hug to everyone feeling down.:xmassign:"This site is addictive!"

Boring!!????? Dear Lord, woman!!!!!
*leans over and slaps a shopping-weary-Pink-winged-handy*
Today in Queenie-land it was ....... "blow-pobs" to everything!
Once the boys were at school ... I took myself off back to bed! (Glands inflammed; painful neck/jaw/ear) Didn't wake again until ...
... after midday!
Raced around and put some tatties on for tea and served that with some slices of last nights "El Frugal Roast Porkie-joint" and veggies.
The only "creative" thing that I did manage was to add to the tree the final box of decs ... they were part of an (Internet!) Ornament Exchange from 3 and 4yrs ago and most are from abroad - brought a lump to the throat to hang those precious items on the tree (I know, soppy, soppy - but, if I'm run down, then I suppose it's allowed) Many were handmade; all given with equal blessings, by likeminded others. I can't believe how speedily the past few years have gone - nor the amount of challenges and changes that have occured during that time! (My mother would have said: "Character building stuff, my girl!
" ) Other ornaments hold almost (but not quite
) a whole lifetime of memories - and price ranges
LOL
Would hanging "old fashioned homemade ornaments" make me a boring old fogey? No way... those ornaments are now "priceless gems.
So, in true Old Fashioned Style - tonight, we didn't watch TV - the boys were enchanted by the tales I could tell them of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and ... yes, hopes for Christmas Yet To Come
It was then that I realised something about my To Do list ... it will, most definately, still be "here" tomorrow, the next day and even the same old, same old in 3 mths time!!!! But, just for now, I want to wrap my boys with heartwarming memories and good old fashioned hot chocolate and roasted chestnuts ....
... next year.... they may well not be even interested!!
Seize the moment ... the most precious "memories" of our youth, don't come "gift-wrapped".~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Queenie, I also get a bit watery-eyed when I hang my Christmad tree decorations on the tree. There are some el-cheapo ones that I bought from Matalan a couple of months after me and my ex split up after 10 years of marriage. I was sooo skint you know. My mum used to have to buy my groceries. I have come a long way since those times though.
Then there are the sparkly penguins that I bought in Grassington a few years ago with present OH. They are really tacky but Grassington was snowy and pretty that year and we were (are) so in love that it was just perfect.
There is a cardboard glittery star that DS made in reception class. There is a cross-stitch one that my sister made for DS's first Christmas.
I try to buy or make just one new bauble each year so my tree will always be trimmed with memories.
Awwwww.

Aww, how wonderful!!!!!! :T
:shhh: I have a couple of ornaments that I have put away for the lads for when they have a tree/home of their own. :silenced:
tootles - I'm delighted to read you are feeling a wee bit better ((hugs)) Hope you continue to grow from strength to strength with each passing hour!
Congratulations on the wonderous news on your forthcoming grandchild!!!! :T :T :T
Yup, the present buying can be a real dent in the wallet  ... however, perhaps it's time that, instead of a gift, you make an annual deposit into a savings account instead???Just remember, the odd £5/£10 whatever, over the years of birthday/Easter/Christmas ... will gain lots of lovely interest and will soon build into a small nestegg which will be much better appreciated when the child/account "matures"
On the actual day of any birthday ... a small homemade treat might be quite sufficient (and far less costly!) and you will know that the annual deposit is growing nicely behind the scenes
Keep following Dr's orders and ... Get Well SOON!!!!! ((hugs))~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
