OS Daily Friday 3rd October

Hi, this is the OS Daily thread for the 3rd October . It is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Hi, I didn't manage to get back on the thread yesterday, although I have now read it all.

Marie, I hope they manage to get Ulick's blood sorted soon and he can come home.

Floss, I've not been to the mews, is that the Thai place If so, I've heard good reports.
Catz, get well soon.

I know there are loads more out there who are suffering or caring for and worrying about loved ones...hugs to you all.

I'm working this morning until 2.30, then I've got an appointment with a letting agent, then back to work 5-7 tonight.
Chippy tea tonight, so that's an easy one
FIL still poorly, although he now has a chest drain in place, so that is easing the pressure on his lungs. I will try and visit him at some time today.

Morning The twit, and all who follow,

Dark and gloomy here, very windy too, off to work again today, more month end finances :rolleyes: , stll last day then four off :T , I finish at 2 as well so not too bad.

DD feels much better now after a long sleep, so will be off to school today, its my nephew's birthday today, so will see him later and give him his present.

Tacos for tea, which are nice and easy, might even have a glass or two to go with them :beer: . Have put a wash on this morning, and will hang it on the airer before work, will swish and swipe, and the bin needs emptying. So that will keep me busy .

I had a strange night's sleep full of weird dreams last night so I was quite glad when morning came.

Have just caught up with yesterday's thread; I didn't get a chance to come on here for most of the day.

Well, today is food shopping day having spent the last month running down all the stocks in the cupboard and freezer. It meant I only did shopping in two of the four weeks and it has been a real challenge coming up with the meals but I must have saved quite a bit of money. I'm looking forward to getting stocked up again, though. I hate having empty cupboards!

I also need to pay some bills and run a few other errands today so I shall probably be out for most of the day. At least the house had a good clean yesterday so it won't need much work today.

DS2's little cat goes back to the vet today to see how his punctured eye is but, according to an update from DS2 yesterday, he's much improved and is longing to go out which, of course, he can't for a couple of weeks. They were dreading giving him his tablets but he has taken them with his food and not noticed them.

Well, I'd better go and have a shower then get on with the rest of the day.

Where is everyone today, is it so cold and dark you are all still in bed I can't believe how dark it is here today, and I'm sorry, but I have caved in and we are going to put the heating on today Oh well, I have capped, so it won't be as bad as it could have been.

Made leek and pasta for lunch yesterday, and have loads left, so that's lunch today sorted. Going to the auction tonight, so takeaway for dinner.

Haven't read all of yesterdays thread yet, so ((( hugs ))) to everyone who needs one

Good Morning All

I have a confession to make - the heating is on - will turn it off soon but couldnt face having a shower without it - its freezing here.

Just been on to online banking and discovered our small client has paid us this week (also owes last week) need to get on to them at 9 as if they dont pay I wont be able to pay my vat next week. All i seem to do at the moment is juggle money and its all Im thinking about. Oh well hopefully they will have some good news.

Other than that its probably housework today, ironing is all up straight. DS is having a belated birthday party at a play area tonight (an expense I could do without) he will be eating there and it will be something quick for the rest of us when we get home.

Off to work soon then I must vacuum round when I get home as I'm babysitting DGS & DGD tonight & as DGD is crawling I need to make sure the floor is clean.
The plot thickens with BIL1 & 2, BIL2 hasn't paid BIL1's wages of £214, because BIL1 owes him £1200 in rent & for the DW BIL wanted in the house. BIL1 isn't answering calls from anyone, so now we are concerned that he is depressed again, either that or he's got a gf, which I think is more likely.

Good Morning everyone

Its soooooo cold here this morning ( and no i still havent put the heating on !) I am determined not to use all the extra gas that i have managed to save on the meter at the sign of the first cold spell.

DW,BM and WM were all set to work durring the night ( unlike the night before, when i forgot to put any of them on)So i have to unload them and make youngest DS packed lunch, which i forgot to get ready lol. In my deffence they are having an Italian school meal at school, i thought it was today.... its on Monday lol

Hello everyone, it feels decidedly chillier this morning, but havent got the heating on as it doesnt work! OH is planning to replace the pump and hopefully that will work. Will get my shopping tonight and decide on dinner then. duddles to everyone who is in need x All yeah, I'm off next week, cant wait!!

Morning Chums its definitely brass monkey weather here in north Kent this morning.I think there is more rain on the way as well as my bones just don't want to work this morning,they feel as though they have been dipped in cement. History course this afternoon so that will be nice, no shopping to buy so thats even nicer. My brother said he might pop in on his way back to Dover to catch the ferry home this morning .He has been over buying tiles for a bathroom he is doing for a pal near where he lives in France Well time to toddle and get a hot few cuppas inside me
