Can you make your own sausage meat?? Ie from pork somehow .....? Cos then it would obviously have less rusk and junk in it and then i could justify it lol
Not the cheapest you can buy but at least i know unlike the cheap supermarket stuff it's not a mixture of lips, eyes and ar**holes.:D:D

My mum has given me two packs of sausage meat and I'm not too sure what to do with it, I've got one out of the freezer for tomorrow but I need something quick or that I can just throw in the oven as I won't be home until late tomorrow. The only thing I can think is a toad in the hole type or meatball and sauce thing. I was hoping to be able to cook it and put it back in the freezer to reheat as it's just for me.
I have pasta, onion, mash, tomato, peppers and mushrooms, as well as other bits and pieces.0 -
It works in bolognese, slightly unusual but tasty.Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0

One of my favourite meals is sausage (and I guess balls of sausage meat would work) in a casserole dish with loads of sliced cabbage, any sort, layered with salt and pepper. Put on a tight fitting lid and cook slowly in the oven at a low temperature for about 3 hours. Yum. It does not need water.0

Make small meatballs - add some herbs and seasoning into the sausage meat, some finely chopped onion too if you fancy to. Coat in flour and pan-fry until golden. Make a pasta sauce and add the meatballs and simmer for 20 mins until they are cooked. Use as you would any pasta sauce.Think big thoughts but relish small pleasures0

My kids used to adore sausage and tomato tart - make pie base with shortcrust pastry. Add a thin layer of tomato puree. Add the sausage meat, lattice the top and pop in the oven until cooked.
NOT very healthy, but really tastyProud to be dealing with my debts :T
