SKY+ HD Offer!! Don't upgrade yet!!!!

We don't get Freeview here. We have the full HD package, which costs around £57/£58 a month. My son is working and lives at home. He wants an HD box for his room (would pay towards Sky subscription). We were told he was going to be £150 for another HD box, £60 installation, £10 for HD a month plus £10 a month multiroom. £77/£78 a month for Sky!! It doesn't matter that my son would be paying part of our monthly bill - I refuse to give Sky that amount of money every month - it's ridiculous.
We've had Sky since 1992, with no break inbetween. What about some offers for loyal customers? If there was an alternative I would stop Sky in a heartbeat.0 -

The SkyHD box already records in HD channels in HD0 -

I would advise anyone thinking of getting Sky Plus Hd not to bother. We got it installed yesterday. The picture is fantastic but the sound does'nt keep up with the picture. When you see people talk, the sound is delayed making it look like you are watching a badly dubbed film!.I will proberly phone to cancel unless they can sort out this problem.Looking through several forums on the net, this problem appears to have been around for quite a while and they cant find a fix!...........Neil0

Hi,
You need to say the words "I would like to cancel" - if you do not they will just quote the standard offer price time after time.
However be aware that sometimes you will still not get offered anything and they will indeed cancel your subscription - this is due to only having so many offers to give away.

This has happened about half a dozen times in the 14 months i've had HD. I usually just turn the box off and on and it sorts it out.0 -
