I've just got off the phone with the cancellations dept at 3:30pm. I explained that I would like to cancel and move to virgin. So they offered me Sky HD for £49+£10, with the HD sub £5 for 6 months. Though the next available installation date was 2nd Nov.
I also accepted their phone line rental free for 12m with free evening and weekend calls, and their mid range broadband for the usual cost of £5. Seems like a good package.0 -
I rang at about 10AM on Tuesday morning to the cancellation dept.
Was offered (and accepted) Sky HD+ box for £49, installation £10 (this includes moving our current Sky+ box to upstairs where we currently have a standard Sky box, half price HD mix for 6 months (£5 ) and half price multiroom for 6 months (£5)0 -
Guys and Gals.. If you have got a good deal from sky... can you post what time of day it was, what day in the month and what day of the week. This will probably give us wanting to get a good deal more idea of when to phone up..

Monday - 12:30pm-ish
Got Sky HD box plus installation, plus one of our two broken Sky+ boxes fixed for £59. Half price HD mix for six months.0 -
Tried Friday night around 8 oclock and was only offered Sky HD for £69 installed or £49 installed if i took multiroom, phoned back saturday couldn't get through but after third call in the afternoon wasn't offered anything, got through today monday 4.45 and accepted sky HD for £69 plus 6 months half price HD Mix, she didn't actually know they did it until i asked for it and she asked her manager who said yes, couldn't get anything else out of her and she wouldn't move my standard box upstairs unless i took out a multiroom for 12 months which i don't really want as we don't watch much upstairs, so not too bad a deal and i might try putting the standard box upstairs myself and see what happens.0

Didn't get a good offer so went off and bought by own box from an add in the local yellow pages. Paid £60, installed it today and phoned to have the card matched with the new box. Was offered sky movies for £7 for the next 3 months. No tie in0
