Does anyone know if I can watch HD channels on 2 TVs through the same HD box?
I currently have the Sky+ linked up with the Sky Eye to my bedroom tv.0 -
i phoned today to complain about my sky+ box, 9 mths old, replaced in jan this year after last sky+ box kept freezing, was very old though, 11mths exactly. i was told it was out of warrenty (strange i thought 12 mths meant 12 mths) and it would cost £65 for repair man to come out. i promptley asked to be put through to cancellations, explained the problem, was then told the warrenty was carried on from previous box, thus out of date. i said original box was 3 mths out of warrenty when it was replaced, so as i was not going to pay £65 for repair man i was giong to cancel, nice scottish man then said don't be hasty i could offer you HD at a good price. what was the good price might you ask? well how does £29 installed sound ? very good i said i'll take it coming next weds to fit, must also point out i had phoned a couple of wks ago pleading poverty what with the credit crunch and all and got the full package reduced to £15 for 3mths, so my advice is stick to your guns and tell them what you want cos as soon as you mention cancelling or worse still VIRGIN they come up with the good offers.0

Threatening to cancel doesn't always work as the advisor that you may speak to has a certain percentage of customers to save. An advisor will have a target to save per shift, once this target is reached then anyone wishing/threatening to cancel their account will be allowed to do so without any further reductions for equipment/install or ongoing negotiations.2017 - no clutter to be seen challenge: 72/2017

I'm wondering how a new customer could get a deal like this? I looking to get the sky HD+box anyway, but obviously want to get the best deal in true MSE fashion!November wins...a book, a designer handbag (worth £550 :T) and a game. I am now an addict and thank everyone for taking the time to share and post.0

we have this set up in our house, u can certainly watch hd channels on the tv upstairs through the sky eye, but whether it is in hd i don`t know, as i believe u need to be connected by hdmi cable to get hd signals, HTH DaveTake every day as it comes!!0 -
Yep, you need an HDMI connection between the HD decoder (i.e the Sky HD box in this case) and the HD TV set. Otherwise you'll just get standard definition pictures.0

Hi all,
Just to let you know what I have been offered.
I phoned up this morning and explained I was looking to cancel and was put through to the relevant department (turnaround/cancellations I believe).
They offered me £59 (£49 box, £10 installation) and the HD mix at the normal price (£10 per month) which to be honest I was probably going to take up. However, I asked a question with regards to a second remote control and was put on hold only for the call to be dropped.
After spending a good 20 minutes waiting again I was put through to the cancellations department. I asked them to see what notes they had on my account so as not to spend any further time repeating myself, and there had been no note on my account of the above offer.
I didn't mention I had already received an offer 20 mins previously so decided to let the operator go away and see what they could do - they came back with £59 installation as above, but also the first six months HD for £5 a month (in line with the OP's offer)!
It goes without saying I took the offer, but I feel sorry for loyal customers when there is clearly no policy in place - only that offers seem to be decided on the particular operator, and the time you make the call.
A big thank you to the OP - without reading this I would have probably just paid the standard price of £75 (Box) + £30 (Installation) + £10 per month (HD Mix)

So in order words, the Sky Eye will be useless for HD pictures in a 2nd room?
