  • Does anyone know Direct Parcel Distrubition's contact numbers as e-mailing is extremely slow and waiting a reply from them is a waste of time.

There's no information on their website about their contact numbers apart from an address! Any help would be highly appreciated.

    Thanks.

If you don't mind calling companies that don't fulfill their end of a pre-paid deal at 10p/min, don't read any further.

I booked a parcel in with Interparcel yesterday afternoon at around 2pm and no shipping labels were ready. It seemed unusual, but the email confirmation did say to check back in a few hours and call if you still did not have them.

They do point out that without their pre-printed labels, you will be charged an additional £15 + VAT. I Sent an email marked URGENT to customer services, left a message on their voicemail and tried about four times to get through on the phone. DON'T EVEN BOTHER ENTERING A TRACKING NUMBER ON THEIR PHONE SYSTEM. It says it will email your labels to you but never does, so you have to call yet again.

As the courier turned up at the door this morning, I was still on hold. Fortunately the call was picked up at that very moment (15 minutes and around £1.50 just for this one call later) and hey presto, the labels are sent by email within seconds. Not bothered by the problem at all, not even an apology and it must have cost us several pounds for the eons we spent waiting to speak to someone.

SHAME ON YOU INTERPARCEL!! Why did noboby return our call or email? I paid for the service and then had to pay more to get my shipping labels.

If you can't deliver a proper service, I will take my custom elsewhere. There is plenty of choice available and such shappy service is inexcusable.

I have used interparcel in the last few months and booked 50+ parcels with them, I have never had any issues or complaints with them & they have never messed me about at all, I used to use parceltree with no problems too but they seem to have vanished

  • Arm, do you know when the next price rise for DHL services might be, and when these'll be reflected with the agents? I have a few console sales I wanna plan ahead for, and not have prices going up once I've already quoted postage costs to people :p:rolleyes:
  • Hi guys happy xmas. RM are cheapest up to 4kgs being around £6.65 plus no VAT, and no waiting at home for collection. But i use freight search for any others. Great thread, keep up the good work

Next month, but how quickly they'll filter through I don't know. However I expect the end result will mean there won't be anything cheaper than £7.89+vat. A rise of over £3 in a year. :(
  • geez. if that goes to £7.99, £9.19 inc vat, then RM's £9.30 SP 6kg looks attractive for a lot of stuff... never thought i'd see the day
  • - Just to let you all know -

I booked a parcel collection with Direct Parcel Distribution, for 24.12.08.

I waited in all day, 8am to 6pm as specified. Complete no-show.

I have used the e-mail form to notify them that the parcel was not collected, and have asked for a re-collection to take place on the 30th. As they already have my money! But am most annoyed at the fact that they can let people down this way. There is a definite price to pay for the cheapness.

If anyone else has had this experience with DPD, and can offer advice, I would be obliged. Am I wasting my time? Will they collect my parcel, or should I be phoning my credit card company and making tracks to get the money refunded?
