Why is it almost dark at ten minutes past six...its only the 1st of October for heaven's sake!!Been cold here to-day and windy.

They have decided to keep Ulick until at least to-morrow to make sure that they are giving the correct dose of Warfarin. Met with pharmacist who also told us that he shouldn't eat huge amounts of spinach, broccoli, cabbage or garlic...some of his favourite foods...he was also in very bad humour, had been with Occupational therapist and I think that it was all just too much for him...came home feeling that I would like to do nothing better than fall into bed and sleep, but tiler is supposed to come back to-night, no sign yet...grrrr.

Had lasagne that someone kindly gave me the other day to save me cooking....ready meal from Superquinn, one of our priciest supermarkets...it was ok but could not see myself living on it...just enough for DGS2 and me, DD4 had eaten, and it cost €5.99...won't be buying that I feel. Have managed to fill up with any sweet stuff lying around....and 2 apples.

Hugs to all in need or want and congratulations to those who are celebrating....oh, welcome to the newbies too.

Getting dark here too and been pretty chilly too.

Applied for a new job - so fingers crossed on that one. Off work for 5 days and loved having a lie in. Been looking into my kitchen and bathroom today so that should be starting very soon.

Having paella tonight, which will hopefully be nicer than the one we had in Spain. Of all places where it should've been nice. But wasn't a very nice cafe.

    Hope everyone's ok

PP - sorry you missed out on the show - there will be other times hope you feel better soon.

    (((BSB)))

Not had a good day today, cold has gone to my chest and have no energy. Did some paperwork and worked out that we are very skint till the New Year at least which obviously didnt make me feel any better. Managed to avoid watching the news luckily otherwise would have been even more depressed  .

Anyway that is more than enough moaning, going to be positive now - OH has hoovered the whole house and washed the downstairs floors so the house does look clean and tidy at the moment. Didnt need to cook tea as kids just had pasta with cheese & I tomato soup. Just about to slice the hm bread which should be cool enough now then will be off to bed early so I can wake up tomorrow feeling fantastic. Tomorrow is another day and all that...
  • Evening all, watched jamie last night too - perhaps teaching people to cook salmon wasn't the best idea when they were struggling with the bills, but surely eating and cooking properly costs a lot less than kebabs and chips and cheese every night for the whole family?

I found loads of beautful yellow stickered tuna steaks in Morrisons - woohoo! They're too pretty to eat :D

We have had a lovely sunny day today, but it's been quite cold, even colder now, and...without me asking..... OH has put the heating on  Thats a first.

Marie hope he is home tomorrow, why cant he have much spinach, broccoli, cabbage or garlic, all things that are supposedly good for us?

JackieO Whats Woolton Pie and Snoek

anniestar hope your headache is better now x
Scuzz fingers crossed for the job

redruby flopping down on the sofa sounds like a good idea, think I'll get my knitting out and finish off a premie cardi I started a few days ago.:D

I have been trying to get this done for ages, the phone has rung twice, OH is getting ready to go out and he is "doin my ed in" I feel like
Think I will give up the sofa's calling ;)

enjoy the rest of your evening everyone

    Evening everyone :hello:

Don't seem to post much on here anymore but thought I'd pop on to say hello.

Another busy day here. Made curry for tea and have got ahead by prepping tommorrow's sausage casserole and chicken and sweetcorn soup for the girls' flasks tommorrow. Both will go in the slow cookers overnight to save on the electric. ;)
It's cold and windy here so we have the fire lit;) and I have a loaf proving on the mantlepiece and a load of washing drying in front of it.

Just had a sip of my HM cider which has worked out really well. :j Going to try some apple wine next as a lovely friend gave me a huge basket of windfalls yesterday. :T

We're off to Edinburgh for the weekend for OH's birthday treat so I'm organising that and need to make the cake tommorrow (Pink's fab chocolate cake recipe) Leaving on Friday afternoon and back on Sunday and going to a half price hotel I found on the Grabbit board and armed with lots of vouchers for eating out from MSE. :money:

Going to watch some telly for a bit before baking the loaf and washing the kitchen floor.

Bootsalebabe... Thinking of you and your family. x
Marie... I'm so pleased Ulick is coming home. I presume he's on warfarin to thin his blood and it's not compatible with those veggies.
Hope there is good news of your FIL Twit.
Nice to see you Stef. x
Hope you fixed your shirt Aussie. Wouldn't do to have a gaping hole at the cleavage would it? :p
