Morning Guys!
Ive had a pretty sh*t 12hrs with my health. OH had to call the doctor out late last night and he gave me a jab. Ive been in and out of sleep but just feel so rough and in pain. We were supposed to be going to see a show and have dinner tonight in London but I can't go. Ive begged OH to still take DD as she would love it and he has agreed to go if I have another friend come and sit with me. I am so gutted and keep bursting into tears! I really wanted to go.
Feeling very fed up with myself this morning.
Sorry to be negative.

Hugs to PenPin....
have just had a call from the hospital ( frightened the life out of me!) they want me to go in at 2 to speak to pharmacist re Ulick's medication and say that pending blood tests he may come home to-day...I wanted to paint the kitchen to-day!! Need to change bedclothes and tidy bedroom for double occupation again...I have been sleeping in the middle of the bed with all 6 pillows piled around so now need to learn to share again!
Better get on....

Afternoon all
Marie - That's good news - let hope he's home tonight and you can get rid of those pillows.
Sybil - what about taking little bear to the library - if there's one in bussing distance that is....I used to wander along to ours regularly when Dd's were little - I used to be able to sit and read or show them picture books without feeling that I should be putting the washing on, or tidying a room or changing beds etc.
Been quite productive this morning, swished and swiped and had a tidy round. Rigged up a couple of washing lines in the conservatory to help in this showery weather and managed to get some flanelette sheets dry in under an hour on it (is it that sad that, that impresses me?)
Spent an hour stripping lavender off the branches now it's been dried - only got another 13 bags to do  House smellls yummy tho.
Sausage cassarole in the slow cooker for dinner and I've just sorted the fabric to make some bits for DD's for xmas.....patterns all printed - just need to get my backside off the sofa and make a start.
Hope you all have a fab afternoon."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
great news meanmarie.
and p-p there'll be other days when you feel better and can enjoy it, what a bonus for your DD to be able to go. hope you feel better soon.x x x0 -
Crikey I'm late on here today. But afternoon everyone
DD I really feel for you with the situation with DS3 but if anyone can get through this you can
Marie its great news that Ulick is coming home but kind of scarey too as we always tend to treat those we love like porcelain dolls for fear of hurting them when they have been so ill.But it will save you the hassle of running to and from the hospital every day
Anyone had any news about Heidiboo? That baby has surely made an appearance by now!
Quiet day here as the weather is yet again yucky but its so cold with it.I've even had to put on some socks as my feet are cold.Unheard of for me!
Hubbys on lates and just gone so the house is mine mine all mine (insert evil laugh)
The kids are having Pizza for tea tonight and the dough is in the BM as we speak
After they have gone to bed it will be just me.my crocheting and a copy of 'Fortunes of War' to watch.Mmmmm heaven

Morning all!
I didn't post all day yesterday and no one missed me!! :rotfl: Actually I spent the day making Christmas cards and then we had friends round for dinner for a belated OH birthday. Had a huge chinese and spent more money than I wanted, but it was a good night and we were playing pictionary til late.
Sunnyday - you have no idea how stupidly I smile when someone says they are making something from a recipe I posted. Makes me go all warm amd fuzzy..
Welcome to the thread, Sampa!
Beth - glad all went well at the hospital
JackieO - we do the washing on a Monday too - well, and a weds and a friday but not at the weekends as (as Beths mum says) it's common!!
Bootsalebabe - am thinking of you. I hope the remembrance service helps come to terms with such an awful tragedy as best it can.
PenPin - hugs to you honey - so sorry you feel so wretched
Mioliere - I do have the egg and bacon pie recipe and it's really easy but forgot to ask her how long to cook it so will come back later and post it.
Troo - my office/craft room looks just the same as your lounge as I too have been making christmas cards to sell. It looks like a glitter and ribbon factory has exploded in the vicinity! Plus all over the house are the tiny little squares that come off the 3d foam. they cling to my clothes and throw themselves off whereever they can just to annoy my OH..
Now I just have to photograph the cards and put them on my msn picture comm so people can see them.
Ok, so I hope you all have a good day whatever you are doing!
to all who need them and congratulations to anyone who is celebrating today.

Afternoon all
I have a busy afternoon ahead of me, must make bread rolls and sultana & cinnamon buns, or Mr LW will have an empty lunch box tomorrow!
Also I have a load of paperwork just arrived; I do the membership records for my region for an organisation I belong to (unpaid, unfortunately) and a whole load of stuff has come through today.
I know it doesn't sound much compared to what a lot of you do, but for me, it'll be very tiring.
Second half of yesterdays soya shepherds pie for dins tonight. Don't know what time Mr LW will be in; he's on late shift today, but he'll let me know if he's going to be 'orribly late.
MeanMarie glad to hear that your OH is going to be coming home soon.
Mioliere hope DS & DIL's puddy tat continues to make progress - poor little chap.
Pen-Pin hope you feel better soon; bad luck about missing the show. What a bummer!
((((Hugs)))) to all who want/need one.
OK, time to get off my posterior and get cracking.
Have a good one, folks.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Afternoon all :hello:
((((PP)))) ((((bootsalebabe))))
meanmarie - fab news, hope he makes it home today
I'm having an expensive month; well, nothing I can't handle given that it's all budgeted for, but it's more of a cashflow thing. Need to move some money around. Basically, I had to renew my annual bus pass yesterday (£520) and I've finally (only, oooh, 9 months late) got round to booking an optician's appointment and I know I need new glasses. I'm going to Dollond and Aitchison who have got some excellent deals on for combined glasses/contact lens customers (without committing to a fixed-term contract on the contact lenses) as well as the online eye test 50% off voucher. I still don't see myself leaving with much change from £250... Made my monthly overpayment on the mortgage today as well; only 2 months till my fixed rate expires
I'm doing well on the health kick. I decided I wasn't going to drink alcohol for at least a week (starting Monday this week) though I might even extend that by another three days given that next Thursday is the next occasion I am going out with mates and will want to have a drink. I'm trying to break the habit of automatically pouring myself a glass or two of wine every evening while I'm watching TV/cooking dinner. I am not missing or craving it at all, but I am thinking about it a lot, if that makes any sense!
I don't have time to go to the gym today but am walking loads cos this evening I need to take some shoes back to New Look (bought them by mail order in 2 different sizes so need to get rid of the ones that didn't fit) and then go to a concert, all in different parts of town.
Hugs to all (whether you need them or not!)
Love Rzl xx
(Edited to say  this was my 5,000th post )
