Morning all:hello:
Got up with DD at 7am and it's chuffin freezing and wet here today:(I was waiting for a work call, but there is nothing yet, as n9eav says, fingers crossed for some sick teachers, or i'll go under:o
I need to get DD's pram to my mums but it's in a mahoosive box that will only fit in mums car, so fingers crossed she can come and help me with it today, as DD's having her carpet fitted tomoz n they need to be able to get upstairs and it's on the landing:rolleyes:
OS wise i'm having probs finding red lentils, LIDL haven't had any for weeks, so i'm popping to BOOTHS near me which is a posh rip off supermarket, but I need some soooo:o
Went to my philosophy class last night, and was a bit late thanks to my friend who picked me up late:mad:  We walked in and sat at the back, and the tutor demanded we sit at the front, I refused as I was feeling a bit ill and needed the loo a lot yesterday:o He made me feel really uncomfortable and 2 other ladies moved so we could sit on the back row, even though we were ok where we were.In the break I had a word and told him how out of order he'd been, and the room wasn't suitable for a course like this, as it's tiny and cramped and people do feel very uncomfortable.I've never felt so unrelaxed on a course in my life, and I have done a lot in my time:( I will stick it out though as there are some nice people on the course, but he just reads off a hand out, so it's hardly inspirational:rolleyes:
Anyway enough of my ramblings.HUGGLES to all in need esp MARIE AND ULICK, WHATATWIT'S FIL,MRS MH,SMOKEY, BOOTSALEBABES FAMILY and and anyone else in need.

Morning peeps
After a very rough night the garden is looking a bit ravaged - just like me. Never sleep well when its windy - worry about the girls in the barn too much.
DS does his Victoria sponge today so tea is sorted:j
Got an interview to see if I would like to 'volunteer' for redundancy at 1000 today.. all because they are changing our computer system and fondly imagine its going to mean less people. They dont seem to listen as another site in my employers company has had to take on additional staff as a result of the change
Its one of those things where we have to the same system globally. Thats ok for some of the countries in the company but its a backward step of about 15 years for UK:mad:
Will wait to see what they offer - it will be nowhere near enough!!
Be good

My Remoska Grande arrived on Monday and I have used it about nine times in 2 days!!!!!!
Even DH has now asked me to show him how to use it!!!!!!!
At the moment there is me, DH, and two DDs at home but another DD is at uni and oldest comes home for Chritmas and now and again- so we veer from 4 of us, to 5, to 6 or more if DDs bring a friend home.
If I were you I would go for the Grande so you can get a large joint in it etc.
Pea and ham soup is in the slow cooker for family for later as I am going to Newcastle today to see student DD(19).
Still a bit shocked that the ignition buton on gas hob has melted,(think DH put hot remoska lid directly on it!) but it was on its last legs and would probably need to be replaced soon anyway.
Anyone looking for red lentils - Sainsbury and Morrisons do them at 84 pence for 500 grams. I think Tesco are 99 pence and £1.49 for organic ones.
Big hug to everyone and need to get DH to give me a lift to the station."This site is addictive!"

Well, I am going to just post on here and then I am definitely going to get started. Absolutely get started. No doubt about it.
I didn't sleep very well last night, as I was worrying about little bear being cold. He won't tolerate blankets and quite often he is down to his nappy before he gets to sleep - he seems to enjoy taking his clothes off. Dearie dearie me. At least most of the time he leaves his nappy on. That is a huge relief. Regardless, last night he seemed fine, sleeping in a room where the central heating had been on earlier, with double glazing, fitted carpet, heavy curtains in a cot with blankets he sleeps on (and knows how to pull over himself) and with lots of insulating soft toys. He looked so sleepy this morning after his porridge (well, ready brek, well, Sainsbury's version of ready brek - a bear has to have porridge) that I put him in his playpen for a nap. He went very willingly and has played quietly. Actually he is probably playing quietly in just his nappy.
I am undecided about taking him out. It is very windy and rain is forecast. I can't think of anything I need to get. I have lots and lots that needs doing in the house. I feel shattered myself and he has been such a tired and grumpy little bear. But it is so liberating to take him out, and we didn't go anywhere yesterday. I think I may see if there is anywhere indoors I could take him on the bus. Or not.
I really need to buck up.
Hugs to all, especially Whatatwit, Candygirl and Celyn. I would just like to add that I have found large quantities of diet coke an effective um unblocker. That is, if you need an um unblocker after 200g of bran flakes. I am sure they are good for you. They have iron as well.
Tonight is the second half of the casserole from yesterday. If I sort out my freezer then I may make room for some home made soup which I can stock up with and then any of the cooking bacon bits that is left over from that can pep up the casserole, because I always think you should add something fresh the second time around. Or I could just add some frozen peas, which also would refresh it. Or I could add curry powder and tomato paste. Hmm. Little bear is being rather picky at tea time at the moment. As he adores peas that may be the way to go.
If I go into town I can get some mushrooms and pickle them and they really do pep up a casserole. (I love the word 'pep'. I've only seen it regarding sex and cooking.) On the other hand I need all will power I have to tear myself away from this computer to put the washing machine on.
I'm rambling. I am rather afraid I shall be back later after achieving nothing. But is so nice to say hello.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
Lots of (((hugs))) to Bootsalebabe's family, especially DD. It will be a difficult day for you all.
It's nice and bright today; started off raining but I've just pegged the washing out and am keeping my fingers crossed that it will dry in the strong wind.
I'm going to start some baking in a minute - we're out of cakes and puddings and DH is starting to feel neglected!
Have had a text from DS2 to say the cat is on the mend; he tried to wee in the bath - luckily, they caught him just in time. I think he was getting his own back for the indignity of being strait-jacketed with a towel to keep him still enough to have his drops and tablets! He has to stay in for a couple of weeks and he is seeing the vet again on Friday. They'e wondering how much it will all cost but at least he didn't need an op.
Anyway, will go and get these cakes done.
Have a great day everyone.
See you later.

Still haven't done anything.
I am absolutely bursting for the little girls room, which is next to little bear's room, where he is on the cusp of sleep. I daren't move unless it is towards the facilities.
I don't seem to be doing so well today. I am sure I shall buck up later.
Mioliere - I am sorry to hear about your Dear Son's cat. Cats will remember and are evil creatures. I speak from experience. However they are susceptible to bribery so some dolphin friendly tuna or value tinned sardines may work wonders. I have successfully given evil cat tablets in value fish paste and I usually try and give a small treat immediately after any 'interference'. Even if it does not cheer them up, they will usually still polish it off and let the person who administered the 'interference' escape.
Little bear is stirring more vigorously. What a relief!Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0
