Just got a limit increase letter today concerning my Cap One classic card. Increased limit is going from £1500 to £1800 in April.
Had the account for 3 years, this is the first increase in two and a half years.
I believe it was because in the last 6 months, I payed off the balance fully at least once in that time. Balance now stands at £700ish0 -
Well I did eventually get accepted for a card 6 days ago and received a pin number yesterday, but still not received the actual card yet so no idea what my credit limit is.0

I've just received a letter stating that my credit limit is being increased from £200 to £450 on the 6 month anniversary of me opening the card.
I'm really happy, I spend about £95 a month on the card and so at certain points in the month before the DD comes out I'm nearing the limit which makes me nervous.0 -
I opened by Secures card in 2011, starting limit was £200 with a £200 deposit, a year and a half later they increased the limit to £400.
Last December I opened up a progress card which gave me a £1500 limit, which I decreased to £1,000.0 -
I wish they'd increase mine. Had it a year at the end of the month, no increase. Never missed a payment and sometimes paid some off early due to getting near the limit.
Am I less likely to get an increase on the Classic Extra than Classic customers are?0 -
I have two credit cards and a student account, with a total credit limit of £4100, so i guess i was just being greedy when i applied for the flybe card. However they turned me down. Nevermind, I guess that will be another dozen or two points knocked off my rating!

I will wait see after 4 months on my platinum card from cap 10 -
you can request a credit limit increase inside the capital one management area, you have to hold a card for at least 6 months to apply, if you get an increase, you have to wait 8 months before being able to apply for a further increase, I managed to get an increase from 300 to 550 last July and an increase from 550 to 800 this month, small increases but still an increase.0

You have to wait 6 months for the first limit increase, as rich said. you have to request it from the website. then after that , you can request an increase every 8 months. at least that is what they told me. I actually think i prefer the barclaycard set up, where you can request an increase three months after the last raise...:beer:0
