I haven't done it for a while, but hope to 'restart' this week. All different things added up and I just couldn't make myself go. I have started yoga though, so that is something in the right direction, although nowhere as active as running. And I really do want to get running, wanted all my life!
I think I may have to restart from Week 1, although I have been attempting Week 3 a while ago...Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
I haven't done for ages either, but have plans to start again in a couple of weeks. I will definitely have to go back to the beginning! Not looking forward to running in the cold, but I know I can do it ... I first started in January!!
I'm going to lock myself into start again w/c 23/11/09 - it's the start of a few new things for me, and looking to get a bit fitter before hopefully heading to Australia for Christmas .. wish me luck!!!Couch to 5K Running 2009/2010/2011

Wow, sarsief!!! Australia will be great. We spend over 3 weeks in New Zealand over Christmas two years ago and it was great (even though I was very ill for most part of it!!!).
I need to get fitter, as I know I need to lose weight and hopefully it will help in our other 'journey' as well.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
ginvzt - never done anything like it before, so started right at the beginning!

Hehe, I'm hoping to go home for Christmas, so exciting, but not travel exciting ;-)
Am currently re-applying for an extension to my visa so may not have my passport back in timeThought starting to run again would help take my mind off it a bit ... but it's also beneficial for all the things you said ginvzt; save money, improve fitness, tone up! It's a winner all round!!
Just gotta stick with it!Couch to 5K Running 2009/2010/2011

I ran 5km today, even though I hadn't run in ages. So the programme really does work :j
However, I ran in the dark while it was raining, so be careful, as it will make you crazy.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

I'm so sorry, I haven't been on here for a while so hadn't read your message until now. How have you been getting on? I have managed week 4 day 1, just about. Seem to be stuck in a rut again though. Struggle to drag myself out of bed in the morning to go out for a run. Really need to get back to it.0 -
Ok, I did it. I dragged myself to gym yesterday and re-started the program. I thought it would be best if I restarted with week 1, since I haven't done this for a few months now.
And I did it!!!! I know, I still have a long way to go, but I am happy. I also did a longer run for the last one - instead of 60 sec I did 90. I was out of breath by the end of it, but I still haven't got the headache that used to follow my runs! Will try and go again tomorrow.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Well done ginvzt!
Sometimes i think the hardest thing is getting going.
I'm starting again this week - Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
I will also be starting at the very beginning again, so will be a week behind you!

Read the whole of this thread last night, downloaded the podcasts and went for my first run (1 of 3 of wk one) today, Yay!
Thought I would not manage the last run on the pocast but I did somehow. Will start earlier in the day next time though as towards the end when I was struggling had to run/walk past sniggering schoolboys :-(
Everyone who has made it to the middle or end has really inspired me. I am rubbish at sticking at things but really want to give this a go.0
