ginvzt, that's a lot faster than me! I run at 7.8/8 km/h, occasionally going up to 8.5 if I'm feeling particularly energetic.

The problem is, I like walking fast, so if I keep it below 8 km/h, I am still walking!!!!!

Went for a bit of walk yesterday evening, and I could feel my legs tired. I hope to be able to run today, but not feeling too well at the moment - dizzy and got a headache. Hope it will get better later in the day and I can do it!

Well, went back to gym last night - only to realise, that my iPod removed week 1 podcast as I already have listened to it!!!!! So, ended up doing week 2 and it was fine!!!! I was tired in the end, and was counting seconds to the end on the later runs, but I did it!!!!

    Hi all

I progressed to running Wk2 yesterday. You'd think that running for 90 seconds would be easy wouldn't you? lol

Has anybody actually run 5k in the 9 weeks? it would be such an achievement for me but I can't imagine being able to run for that long without collapsing! :o

My daddy bought me a wii fit, so I've been doing the jogging on that!

But I haven't properly been running for ages :(

I havent run 5k but I can do 30 minutes - you kind of get used to it after a while.

    Anyone still alive here?

I did my 3rd Week 2 session yesterday - I think I may need to continue with it for bit longer, as this heat is tiring me a lot. I was working from home yesterday, so went to the gym during day hours, and as soon as I started the programme, they decided to take photos of the gym!!!! About 2/3rds in they left, and then as I was leaving the building they were taking photos of outside!!!! I don't want to be in any of them, so I hope they avoided me!

Off on holiday in few days, so will have to stop my training for a week (unless I will decide to do running on the beach in 30+ deg C!) Then, in 10 days after holidays I am going for a minor surgery, so that will make me stop for a while. But I intend to do as much as I can before, so fingers crossed I might do at least 1 Week 4 session before I go for surgery.

I'm still semi-here (got very sick of the teacher bashing on the site so walked away for a few weeks) but fallen off the running wagon again for a while - although the gym's got air-con, it's just so hot I'm feeling dizzy a lot of the time - so I'm pretty much limited to swimming at the moment until the weather eases off a bit.

    Ow!

I went for a short run today, but ran faster than usual. And near the end I got a really bad pain in the upper right of my chest. I had to stop and walk for a bit and that cleared it up, so then I was able to run the rest.

I started the program over 6 weeks ago, can't believe I have just over 2 and half weeks left before I complete it. I am still running slow, but trying to build up my endurance first, speed later.
