Well I did an unplanned jog back from my slimming class
admittedly it's only half a mile so can't really take a huge amount of credit, but I did run most of it, which is better than I expected. It was really interesting though, a few weeks ago I couldn't have run the length of myself. I'm thinking about trying to do a proper outside run sometime fairly soon just to see how I go. Last time I did it I was doing well to run between lamp posts and this was def better!
Sorry you're all having such a hard time at the minute, first time in living memory that the weather in Belfast has been better than Englandand it's awful being a bit too sick to exercise. When you're really too sick you don't care, but when it's just a lingering thing it's really irritating.
Let's hope next week will be better!0 -
Nothing to report here this week yet - the gym's been closed for essential boiler maintenance. Not surprised it's probably worn out with all this cold weather0

You'll get there eventually
It's not worth trying to run whilst you're ill, though.

Me too. Back to day one week one. Used the iphone app that lets you listen to your own music.
I must say I really enjoyed it.

Did my second week three run tonight and first run outside. Really enjoyed it, it was lovely to come home from work, pull on some running clothes and head out again into the fresh air (it wasn't freezing at that stage thank goodness). Managed one five minute stretch at running which is the most I've ever done
twenty mins in total and prob about 12.5 of them actually running. Total of nearly 3kms. I'm pretty pleased with that
and starting to believe I might manage a 5k in the end up. The route I ran is part of the 5k route I'm thinking of doing so I really was starting to believe it might be possible.
What I learned was don't dress for how cold you feel when you're leaving the house (duh I know now!) and bring at least two tissues when it's a cold night0 -
