Hi Leothecat it's great to hear stories like yours, very inspiring! 2 x 20 mins running is impressive.
juno and chocaholic - thanks for the advice. I did the W2D1 this morning (again) and feel absolutely fantastic now. It may have even felt slightly easier.....
    *High fives the whole thread*

All I can say is that it certainly does get easier. I don't think you realise it at the time but looking back over how much I have improved - I can't believe it. When I started, my breathing was awful - I heat up very quickly and got very out of breath and would pant and gasp alot! :o
Running buddies were just commenting the other night during the run how easily I was breathing - I had not even noticed. That certainly gave me a boost.
Also, I am overweight. I have not changed my eating habits since starting but in the last 4 weeks have lost nearly 7lbs. How else could you do that?
I love running and I never ever ever thought I would say that.
Am doing a 5k on Sunday - www.betweenthebridges.org.uk - my first one. Am a bit scared but also very excited. :j

hi to the noobs and keep it up
well today i did week 6 run 2, which is 2x10 mins with a 3 min walk inbetween, i found really hard this am, which is very strange coz run 3 on week 5 was a 20 min straight run and i found that easy, so perhaps its just that time of the month, so god help me on run 3 which is 25 min straight run, and to think i felt sick on the 60 sec runs lol
If we can put a man on the moon...how come we cant put them all there?

  • Hi all! Haven't been running for a few days - my daughter has been off school with that awful vomiting bug.

Here's the strange thing though - I'm actually MISSING running - and can't wait to go out again next week. How weird is that? I've been doing some exercise DVDs and the Wii fit, but nothing beats that high you feel when you've completed a run.

Anyway, back on week 5 next week, hope you all have a great weekend!

Well done to all you runners!

    I started C25K last week and today completed week 2 :j .

I was sooooooo unfit though that I actually started running mid-January, under the cover of darkness, around the block (approx 2.5 mins ... with stops), and then I'd take 2 hours to recover my breathing.

I'm still finding 90second runs quite difficult however the amazing sense of achievement makes it all worth it.

    Starting week 3 on Sunday.

    Yay! :j Well done daisy!
I'm doing my first on Sunday and if I get anywhere near that time I shall be well happy.
I've missed 2 runs this week due to illness and hope that I shall be well enough on Sunday to be able to complete the race. Even thru the illness, I was dead jealous that my running buddies were out without me! :o

    How is everyone doing?
I did W3D1 today - which two weeks ago seemed impossible, so it does work! (Now am looking at the W4 programme with great trepidation)
And I've entered the race for life in July eek!

great to see lots of new people signed up to do this!

I only went out once last week, had a really horrid cough and cold and although i dont mind running with a cold the cough make it impossible! But going to get out there tonight and do half an hour. Since it's been getting warmer, i've been sweating buckets, i got some shorts but they ride up all the time and it's really annoying!
