Don't look ahead at week 5 otherwise you'll get scared! You have a different run each time, but it is doable. It's the first time you feel like you really are running.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

I've been lurking a bit and am fascinated by this thread! I haven't been running much for the last 18 months, and am just starting to get back into it. I'm finding some days easier than others i.e. on Monday I struggled to run for 15 minutes, but on Tuesday I ran easily enough for almost 30 minutes (mixture of inclines and speeds). I am trying to get my fitness back but also lose weight. Any tips on how I should be progressing? I've never really had a training programme, I used to just run when I felt like it back in the good old days (when I was slimmer!). Someone said to me that you should run up hills every so often to make real progress. Is that true?
Thanks in advance.
