Hi all! Got back from Dorset today - no good running I'm afraid, as the weather let us down, but we had a great time anyway. Week 3 is tough - but am going out tomorrow anyway rain or shine! Well done to all of you for running so far - being able to run 20 minutes seems like a fantastic achievement to me - hopefully I'll get there soon!0

Yep its all techno rubbish but if you can ignore it like I do its not to bad. There are more linky for similar podcasts with different music here

its worth noting that suz's done 3 for the weeks where you different runs over the course of the week rather than one like roberts.
p.s. sorry I cant remember how to condense the link:staradmin5k - 00:27:46:staradmin 10k - 00:57.03:staradminHalf - 02:01:15:staradmin5M - 00:44:07:staradmin0 -

The third one also has a podcast for 'Gateway to 8k'- the sequel to Couch to 5K, but I have not been able to get it. I can download it, but have had no success putting it on my MP3 player (have even tried burning it onto a CD first). Has anyone else managed to do it?0 -
Thanks a million guys - I'll go look at these other downloads. At work at the moment, so better not go on a website called 'kissmyblackass'!!! Our IT department would send me a nasty e-mail!
Will report back!0 -
Hi Keepyourchinup! Dorset was lovley - my inlaws live there so we get a fantastic break, kids amused by their granddad while my mil spoils us with food & drink! Back to the grind today - did week 3 today. The 3 minute runs were actually easier than the 90 second ones, not sure why. Maybe it takes a while to get into a rhythm. Good luck with week 4 - and hope your gf's neck feels better soon.
bj-sailaway - I know what you mean about the techno rubbish, but to be honest the beat helps me run, and I just zone out the annoying parts of the music. It does get repetitive - but once the 9 weeks are up, I'm hoping to make my own playlist to keep me going on my 30 minute runs!
Hope you all manage to get out there today - it's beautiful here (in the South East), and although the track was muddy, I loved every minute of it!0 -

you're so right about not losing weight! I've been dieting as well as running, although i started the dieting months before. In the time it's taken me to reach the goal of running for 30mins, i have lost 2lbs! It can be disheartening but at the same time, my calves and arms have really toned up and at last the weight it starting to come off too0 -

The GF is complaining bitterly thats shes actually putting wieght on no matter what I say. She decided she was ok to run and we sucessfully completed day 1 wohoo.
On another note i was a little unfair week four isnt techno at all its slower because of the extra run time.:staradmin5k - 00:27:46:staradmin 10k - 00:57.03:staradminHalf - 02:01:15:staradmin5M - 00:44:07:staradmin0 -
run 4 of week 3 completed in full this am,
i dropped himself of to his truck then thought instead of sitting around on here i will go for a run so i did, only around my block of houses, the kids fast asleep, (why is it the older the kids get the more sleep they need lol).
anyway 2 more runs then up i go to week 4, because i was a tad diappointed when the run finished i gould have carried on,(how sad is that), but i told you all that because of my lack of exercise for the last 30 years ish lol, i will be doing each week twiceIf we can put a man on the moon...how come we cant put them all there?

Woohoo...I have officially joined in
I found the last run interval hard, felt a bit sick at the end but it was up a fairly steep hill. Still feel good for finally getting out there.
It would seem that I have started at week two by accident as it was 90s intervals, it said week 1 on my zen screen though
Going to go again on fri night :T0 -
Run 1 of week 6 completed yesterday evening.
I am a little confiused though as to why I completed a 20 minute run on Week 5 and am now back to interval running.
Hey ho though - not gonna moan as I feel happier with the intervals.
Next run on Friday evening.:T0
