well im baaaack and reporting for duty,
week 3 run 1 completed......well nearly as you all know ive had 5 weeks off, so starting on week 3 buuuut i could quite make it to 3 mins, i did just under 2 mins first run and just over 2 mins run 2, i will do it by the end of the week, but i think i will be repeating this week,
    next run on wed
If we can put a man on the moon...how come we cant put them all there?

  • Completed my run today. It was very wet out there - had to run the streets rather than around the track as it was too waterlogged. Although the run was easier (less hills and horse/dog muck to avoid), it wasn't as much fun as running in the park, especially being watched by traffic jammed cars! Onto Week 2 day 3 on Wednesday.

Well done! I hate thinking people are watching me, and I usually run in the evening (but avoiding rush hour)

we're in the final week now building up to the 30mins run. Tonight we ran for 20mins, i couldn't believe it. We were so pleased and it didn't seem that different from the the 11min run.
I can't believe that like five weeks ago i was struggling to run for 4minutes, it seems weird. I'm not showing off, but if you're on week 2 or 3 you can do it, if i can do it, anyone can!

:T Great work Kiraroo - you must be so proud! Am looking forward to the day I can think of myself as a runner!!
  • Thanks Juno for the advice and encouragment:T. I have completed run 2 of week 5 today. I was counting down the time during the 8 minute runs but got through it. Bring on run 3 - I think!?:silenced:

On one of the podcasts, Robert says something about there being only 30 (or something) seconds left. I never got through that without counting!

But as long as you got through it, it doesn't matter how. The 20 min run is better than you think! I switched to other podcasts mentioned in the thread at this point and found the music better, and it helped me to have music with words so I had something else to focus on

Managed to drag myself out of bed this morning (yesterday I set my alarm for PM instead of AM!) and made it through Run #1 of week 2 .... arrggghhh!

My legs are killing me and I felt like the slowest person in the world ... am glad it was so early and very few people around to watch me. Having said that, the 90 second intervals were very doable, I thought that extra 30 seconds would be much harder, but was ok.

Juno, like you am not really enjoying the music from Robert's podcast this week, but won't have time to download anything else so will have to struggle through :)

Even after 2 weeks am already feeling so much fitter, noticed it on Monday when I had to run a bit to make it to netball on time as trains were delayed.

Going to go for Run #2 on Friday morning.
