I'm still doing it! I also find I get bored with Robert's music and can't find the motivation to do it unless I use my own music. I still keep to all the couch to 5k timings, but use music I actually enjoy listening to. I had to use his on Sunday as I couldn't get round to doing my own mix, but I definitely don't want to do that again.

Hey all, have been naughty and not running for a week...BUT went back to week 4 today and was very pleased to do 3 mins, 5 mins, 3 mins and finish with a 10min run... helped along by Pendulum. Cracking running music.

Will start Week 5 on Tuesday. Looking forward to it, as I have decided to only listen to my fave tracks when I'm training. That will encourage me! And I'm getting a personal trainer to help me out with upper body stuff ready for the big party on 31 Jan...just shy of seven weeks...and counting....

Will be ordering my dress this week...wooooooooo!

Well done and keep on running! xxx

After not having run properly for a bit over a week, I finally got to go tonight. But I'm out of practise, so had to walk a bit. Not sure how much running I'll be able to fit in over winter, as my sister doesn't approve.

  • Can I join this thread!? I've been away from exercise for about 3 months now (pesky price of gym memberships) but have decided that rather than spending a fortune to be a gym member, I'd be better off doing what I used to always do and run.

The intention is to try and fit it in to my day - I've got a decent route on the way home from work which will be about 20 mins of reasonable jogging which 2 or 3 times a week to start off with should hopefully be enough to start feeling fit again.

I did try running into work a few times, but it was embarrassing going to meetings with a bright red face right up to lunchtime!
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

i really want to find the time and motivation to go back to running in the new year, just hope i dont use the weather as one of many potential excuses not to go out.

any of you following running made easy at the mo or just the podcasts? im contemplating putting it on my xmas list if i can find a cheap copy online somewhere (in the hope that seeing it on the shelf may make me feel guilty enough to go out :D)

The only reason I'm still running is because I do it indoors, on a treadmill. Not as good as out in the wild, but better than nothing!!

In the spring, when it's light enough after work, so I can see and avoid the dog poo and there are a few dry days in the week, I'll start running outside.....

Until then, I'm a gym bunny.

Bought some new CDs mainly for training today (well, that's what I told myself) some Nickelback and Metallica...should be some good, loud, pacey songs on there to go with Pendulum.....it all helps...!

Nah, it's a good time to start! You can be happy that whilst everyone else is making excuses and stuffing themselves with mince pies, you're doing something to get fit. And then by new year you'll be into the habit and won't want to stop.

Well Ray, you have to start somewhere and now's as good a time as any!!

Just think, you'll be two/three weeks ahead or more of those who decide to start getting fit sometime in the New Year!!

Well done and keep on running x
