Well, I did wk 5 run 1 today. What a bad idea - just yesterday I was sure I'd do another 2 x wk 4 runs first, and I had loads of walking yesterday (3 x 2 mls), and not much sleep last night (too cold).

Anyway, I had the mad idea that as wk 4 is 2 x 3 mins runs and 2 x 5 min runs, surely wk5 would be fine at 3 x 5 min runs.....er no. Or maybe it was just a bad day ... suspect I'll be on wk 5 run 1 for a while before moving onto the second one as it's 2 x 8 min runs.

Drea - did you go out tonight ???

I did week 5,run 2 (2x8min) yesterday,it wasn't as bad as I thought.I was just going to do week 5 day 1 again, but just carried on !!!

If you dont feel ready for day 2,how about doing an "extra minuite" at the begining and end ?

Week 6, run 1 attempted. It felt really hard though, so I gave up after a 5 min run and an 8 min run. Shouldn't leave it so long between sessions :(

  • It all seems to have gone really quiet on here. Is that due to the fact that the weather is carp and really cold?

    Yesterday I started Week 4 (Robert Ullery again!) with the 2 x 5 and 2 x 3 minute runs. :j

How surprised was I that I manged to do this? I was considering another couple of Week 3's (completed 2 already during the week) but thought whats the worst that can happen (apart from collapsing on the treadmill:rotfl:).

Hi all have decided to join you. I am trying to get fit again and are probably about week 4 So I am going ot start at week 4 run 1 tommorrow and see how I get on as I have not done c25k b4. I did 2 mile walk/ jog last week in 29 mins and am aiming to reduce the time over the next few weeks before increasing my distance. Wish me luck Upsy x

I have spent all day creating my own playlist! It's a 25min run one. I didn't put any voice commands on it, so you start running after the end of the first song and stop running at the end of Dolly Parton. And since I run round in a circle, it doesn't tell you when you're halfway through.

You can download it (although I don't know why anyone would want to ) from here for one week only

    Playlist
Bon Jovi - Stick to your guns (start running here)
PJ and Duncan - Let's get ready to rhumble
Bowling For Soup - Girl all the bad guys want
Guns N Roses - Out ta get me
The Donnas - All messed up
    Savage Garden - Affirmation
    Bon Jovi - Alive
Dolly Parton - 9 to 5 (stop running here)
    Nickleback - Too bad

    hello upsy :hello:
juno playlist sounds quite good, but cant i ask you 1 question????????
    PJ & Duncan :confused::confused::confused: :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

well run 3 week 2 done this am, amd O M G it was the most wonderful run i have ever done, not only is it getting easier (still gonna repeat week 2 next week tho as im not ready to move up yet :D:rolleyes:).
but everywhere was white and wonderfully wintery, went to my usual running place where noone can see me lol, but its in the country, all the trees and hedgerows were white, crystallized cobwebs and the road crunching underfoot, made me think that i was in another world, it was bliss.
all i could hear where birds [STRIKE]killing each other for food[/STRIKE] chirruping away, no traffic noise or any other living soul.
i hope its like this again next week, keep it up and cool running guys

  • Lol, it's a good song for getting you up and about!

Am bookmarking the podcasts to start in Jan after the indulgence period, although I might chicken out when I find out how cold it is...
