Hi Juno, did week 4 run 1 yesterday and was OK struggled with the last 5 mins but then added another 2.5 min walk and 3 min jog to get to my 2 miles target. Took 3 mins of my 2 mile time so now just under 26 mins for 2 miles. Followed it with 30 mins on bike ( I hate cycling but is supposed to be good for you)
Will do some fast/ slow interval training in the gym tommorow then another week 4 run on friday to try to get to under 25 mins for 2 miles.;)0 -
Well done!
I hate cycling too, but I cycle to work most days. It's downhill, though. Then I half walk and half cycle back.
My legs ache a bit today, but it's not too bad. And it's nowhere near as bad as they used to!Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

Didn't get to gym yesterday as DD was sick so change of plan. Did the second run of week 4 today with ane xtra bit at the end to get me to the 2 mile mark and did it in 25 mins 21s over 30s off Monday's time.:j
Followed it with 15 mins on cross trainer and 10 mins bike, will try to something over the weekend but fear daughter has infected me and if not will do week 4 run3 on Monday.:T0 -
That was possibly not the best idea ever. I went out for a run, but I gave blood today. I didn't push it and walked loads, but I feel dizzy now.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

Okay so I'm MIA. I have given up until it gets a little warmer. I actually couldn't put up with it anymore. I knew I was going to end up hating running if I kept forcing myself to go out. I will be back out and probably starting from the beginning when it gets a little warmer.
Well done juno for keeping it up and anyone elseI wish I could afford a treadmill. How are you guys running on ice without falling?
Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0 -
Round here it doesn't actually seem that icy yet. It's cold, yeah, but at the times I go running it isn't slippy. Or maybe I just don't notice.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

Hi Folks,
Hows everyone doing ? I'm still "at it" but just "plodding" at the mo,as I'm half way through a course of IVF treatment, and absolutely exhausted, but I did attempt week 5,run 1 today, but only managed to do the first 2 five min runs !
Will try to run again tomorrow, but I'm not going to "push it",I think that I'll just be doing enough to keep my joints "oiled" for the next couple of weeks !!!
Good luck to you all0 -
It's only us Nottingham lot that still seem to be doing it!
Yesterday I tried to run, but got distracted by a dog. As in the dog ran into the middle of a very busy road several times, and was very lucky it wasn't run over. After that I wasn't really in the mood, and then I came to a very icy bit so I gave up.
Would run tonight, but am going out to the work Christmas party soon, and it's raining now. That means I won't be able to go til wednesday *sulks*Murphy's No More Pies Club #209
