Well, I did wk 5 run 1 today. What a bad idea - just yesterday I was sure I'd do another 2 x wk 4 runs first, and I had loads of walking yesterday (3 x 2 mls), and not much sleep last night (too cold).

Anyway, I had the mad idea that as wk 4 is 2 x 3 mins runs and 2 x 5 min runs, surely wk5 would be fine at 3 x 5 min runs.....er no. Or maybe it was just a bad day ... suspect I'll be on wk 5 run 1 for a while before moving onto the second one as it's 2 x 8 min runs.

Drea - did you go out tonight ???

Ok I didn't do my run tonight but I really was going to, I promise! When I got home there was a man here to look at my plumbing because I've had no water the past couple of nights, so he was here for ages and then I had to have a shower while I had water (it keeps going off at night for some reason) because he didn't know what the problem was!

I was going to get home then changed and straight back out but I just couldn't. I've not given up, don't worry!

If anyone is near the running shop in Liverpool (Bold Street) they have some really good deals on- 2 items for £20 etc. I got some long running pants and a long-sleeved thermal top for £20- both very good quality and would have come to £65 if I'd paid full price!

    :D

Well it was your birthday so I thought your running buds should know. :p
  • Well I'm going to run round the reservoir today (if I write it down then I'm less likely to chicken out :o). It's just over 5k on fairly good footpaths. Best bit is the first 1.5k is shallow downhill from the dam. The rest of it is hilly in parts, but that's ok.

I hope that after Tuesdays 'Snail Pace Race' I might be able to get my legs going this morning. :D

Cool runnings to all going out today. :)

ETA: Well it's about 1.40. I've tried setting off twice now for the res, but it won't stop raining. Usually rain isn't a problem, but it's windy too and at the reservoir I can't just turn round and come home if I get soaked to the skin halfway round. :( I think for my own safety I'm going to postpone until tomorrow.

You cannot live as I have lived an not end up like me.

Oi you lot - please :heart:GIVE BLOOD  - you never know when you and yours might need it back! 67 pints so far.
