I'm really sorry hon, but also really proud of how you two are prioritising the kids and the practicalities at what must be a stressful and emotional time.
I can't think of anything I can do to help except send you all positive calming vibes - so I'm doing that.
Lots of love hon,

Hi IA, I'm really sorry to hear your news, my parents divorced when I was 11 & my sis was 6, we're both fine. It will make you stronger. It doesn't seem like that now but in time it will. Afew of my friends parents divorced when they were younger and are sane so don't worry too much about the effect on your children. I can't offer any advice financially but just my support. Hi IA
I'm not really sure what to say. Other than you will get through this. At the financial stuff will sort itself out, just make sure that you get what you can and the people you work with at CAB will help you there.
Your girls will be fine. I was. People make a big things about children from single parent families. I was brought up by my Mum and haven't seen my father since I was 11. We rent our house, had very little money, still don't have much. But I made it to uni and I am a good person!!
You know we will all help you as much as we can. But remember to look after yourself in all this.

I don't post much but lurk a lot and have dipped into your diary occasionally. I just wanted so offer my sympathy (although I know you don't want it!). I did not see this coming

I can't improve on the great practical advice you've already been given, but I hope you have someone you can talk to about all this. You seem so calm and coping but I know it must be really affecting you emotionally.
The kids will be fine as long as they know they are still important to you and Ste. Wishing you well. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
