Hi IA, don't think I can add anything to the advice that's already been given - except that I would double-check re the WTC as 'Entitled To' isn't always accurate.
I hope that however things work out, you are all happy in the long term xDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
I don't get WTC as I'm under 25 and wouldn't be working 16 hours or more a week.TotallyBroke wrote: »Wow... I didn't realise I thought the whole point of the wtc was to encourage people to work as they got more money through this than staying at home.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

IA, don't give up the part time job until your absolutely certain that it'll affect your benefits. I would agree wit redsquirrel80. Entitled to isn't always accurate.0

As a lone parent you are allowed to earn upto £20 a week before it effects your benefits but you must also declare the work. So maybe you can take a cut in hours but keep a toe hold in working whilst claiming.2026 Goals

Oh Sweetheart I am so sorry:( I have nothing really practical to offer just give yourself some time to get your head around what is happening and treat yourself kindly, you must be in such turmoil.
We will all be here for you whenever you need us...........for ANY reason.
Much love

Sar I'm so sorry to hear this. I've gone through the same recently so if there is anything you want to talk about or sound off about, drop me a mail on here or on facebook. I have a cot hunny, but being way up north it would be a bit tricky to get it to you. If anyone from Leeds fancies a trip to the coast to collect it and pass it on down to you at a meet up or anything you are more than welcome to it though.
I hope things ease for you a bit soon, it does get easier, promise! xxxxxOlympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

Sar I really feel for you - it is so tough on all of you a huge hug eventhough I know it is of no use.
All of the advice above is fab and I cant really add anything to it bar try as hard as you can to keep the communication between the two of you as good as you can.
If I think of again I will repost.
