Bankers retraining as Teachers!!
Comments
-
I know a lot of teachers, most who own their own homes and have been in the profession for years. Very experienced but unfortunately looked on as expensive when a newly qualified teacher is relatively cheap.
I've seen school management actively "culling" older staff, making life uncomfortable for them to get them to leave so they can replace them with NQT's. Whilst I think it's good to have fresh young teachers with sometimes a more modern outlook in the profession it's a pity that experience is counting for nothing when the books are being balanced.
I just wish that people who may have failed in other professions (like bankers) think it's OK to say, "I'll go into teaching then." Not a good enough reason to go into a profession which demands so much commitment for the good of the students.0
