Bankers retraining as Teachers!!

so 'bankers' are using education as a bolt-hole, eh?
most of the teachers I know went into education purely because they wanted to teach.
they have to eat as well, but money was always a second consideration.
taking these motives as a bench-mark, bankers should automatically be excluded.miladdo0 -
They can't be any worse than the teachers we have now. Most just become teachers because the university fees and grant they get.0

So the idiots who have ruined the country by gambling recklessly with our money are now going to ruin our children's educations....
God help us!
I think you will find it was the directors of the banks who decided how much risk the bankers were allowed to take. The bankers just took the risks that they were allowed too and did their jobs. After all, this did make a lot of money for banks over the last decade.0 -
Nothing under £35,794, and tops out at £107,192

I go along with that, I work very closely with education.
Also don’t forget some bankers are very highly trained. I would rather have a banker as my business studies teacher rather than somebody who's only experience of business is a text book!

I know someone who went into teaching for the long holidays teachers get. She "retired" after a few years teaching, on an index linked sick pension.0 -
OT Dopster.
Sorry for my rant on the first day I thought you were a WUM. I think we share the same views but at the opposite end of the spectrum.:beer:0 -

Maybe, maybe not. I just found myself agreeing with lots of what you said to Sir Hump on a different thread.
I still think you are JP so it is fine.

B&B might not have gone down if teachers had the business know how, to show pupils how to do a business plan.0 -
