she is a beauty, I bet you will have loads of fun with her!
Do you know anything about her background, why she is in rescue etc? (I didnt know much when I got my rescue doggo, and my mum knew nothing about her dogs history as she was brought in by the dog warden as a stray)
When you get her home I would advise that you take her straight into the garden forst and give her chance to have a good sniff around and go to the loo - as soon as she does, praise her so she knows that is the plae to do it, then let her go inside the house.
As Elsien said earlier start as you mean to go on with your house rules - eg. is she allowed on the furniture? Upstairs? etc. if not, make this clear on day one, it is much easier than trying to change the boundaries later on. (also where she will sleep, eat etc)

I know she is in rescue because the previous owners could no longer afford for (despite having her since a pup! I blame the credit crunch!) and she is 3.5 yrs old!! she is very good with children, pther dos, being left and travelling. That is it other than that.
I was planning on letting her sniff the garden etc and have everything set up for her when she comes in. I got her name tag today!!!

aw bless she sounds like the ideal dog!!!
I would live on bread and jam before I would get rid of my dog, but I realise not everyone can do the same.
Another thing thatmay be worth getting (thinking of the finanances) is pet insurance for when your cover runs out, or putting money aside to cover any vets bills - this time I decided to get insurance as I would struggle to find the readies to pay for a big unexpected vets bill.0 -

another thing is... it is quite likely that even if she is housetrained really well (which I expect she is!) she may have a few accidents in the house at first due to change of routine etc
Do try and give her frequent opportunities to go outside for the first week, and go out with her and praise and treat her every time she does anyting outside - she will soon click on!0 -

That sounds very familiar - mine's not allowed on the furniture at all, but the rules have got bent somewhere along the way so if I'm sitting on my chair she keeps one foot on the footstool and the rest of her sprawled up the front of me. Technically she's on me, not on the furniture...........not sure how that happened.;)
She looks such a sweetheart, and for a rescue dog you've got quite a lot of information which is a bonus.
(Mine tried crying the first night I had her, and I practically had to barricade my mother in her bedroom to stop her from going in to her, but after the first night she settled down without any problems.)All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

She is soooooo cute...I could just snuffle my head in between her ears and head...her coat looks in great condition and she has obviously been cared for which is great. She's clearly been a much loved pet and I commend the previous owners for being responsible and handing her in to a rescue centre rather than just trying to cope.....

I love coming onto this thread to see the photos and your Springer is gorgeous. Looks like a "proper" Springer - completely loopy:D Love the tufts of hair. Hubby and I go to a certain park in Glasgow as a lot of Springers are walked there - we are guaranteed to be doggied by a Springer. Lovely, mad dogs. I am so jealous!0
