I know how cute. I am undecided whether to get her professionally trimmed in a couple of weeks however when I saw her on Sunday I thought it was just part of her personality:rotfl: a big tuft on her head!!!
She looks like she needs caring for properly really.

I am like a BIG kid waiting for Christmas. :j All my dreams are about her:rotfl: :rotfl:

  • Don't get her trimmed. One of ours is having a bad hair day today but she just looks cute.

Our Springers love soft toys. They never chew them just carry them round and cuddle up with them at night. I woke up the other morning and our newest one had brought 10 different toys onto the bed during the night.

We tend to give them rawhide chews too if we are leaving them for any length of time, gives them something to get their teeth into if they feel the need. If she does chew any furniture then a bit of mustard on it usually does the trick ;)

Does she look alright then and doesn't need a trim. I wasn't sure. None of the photos on the internet and in books have the tuft going on. I didn't know if it would cause problems for her at all??

Thanks, as you can tell I am just learning but love getting everyone's views and opinions.

I REALLY DO appreciate every single post on here because I have taken note.

I will do as much as I can to make her have a happier life and settle in with us and love being here.

Even my sister has today agreed that when we go to her house that Sally is welcome to come too:j despite her husband not wanting it:o but her and the kids won:D and the picture I e mailed her of Sally helped too;)

  • Well, I'm sure there's lot's of people here with experience of Springers and rescue dogs.

Although, just like humans, all dogs are different and what works for one might not work for another. Sometimes it will be trial and error but if you put the effort into training early on then you will reap the rewards later. We always holiday in this country with our dogs and we have no worries about taking them to hotels. Mind you, after we've been out with them all day they are happy to curl up under the table in the bar and snore their heads off :rotfl:

We have found though that training is much easier when you already have atrained dog as the new dog/puppy will watch and learn. If you have any friends with well behaved dogs it might be worth taking them out together, it will be good for Sally's social skills too.
