Are 18866 going to put their prices up very soon. The main page still shows 3p but the international bit and the main splash screen says 4p connection fee.

Good spot Alison_B. The main splash screen says 4p too. I remember when they went from 2p to 3p, the main screen was the last to be updated. We will have to pay attention to the price message when calling - guess I'm going to have reprogram all my phones soon :mad:0

They have now put the price up on the front page
Rates are in pence per minute. Calls are billed per second rounded
to the nearest penny, include VAT and are subject to change.
18866 calls are subject to a 4p connection fee.

1p, 2p, 3p, 4p connection and 0p/minute is still fairly good value compared with BT's 3p/minute.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -

They might now be a 4p connection charge and show that calls are billed per second but for UK landlines that 'per second' charge is still 0p.It has taken about 4,500,000,000 (4.5 billion) years for the Earth to form as it is now .........
and it'll only take about another 100 years for mankind to really **** it up!!!!0 -
No question - still good value compared to BT but the best rates now seem to be 1899 (still 3p connection) for land lines and 18185 for mobiles.0

Are you sure? I don't think so...
BT will charge if the call is connected. So, if you go to someone's voicemail/callminder, you'll be charged. You will not be charged for engaged tone.I really must stop loafing and get back to work...0
