Ha - that made me smile. You'll have to try better though....;)
I purchased a pair of work shoes about 6 months ago - my last pair were purchased in 2005, so I got about 3 years from those
Anyway, I checked the soles the other day and was disgusted to see the new pair were quite worn. With a "well I've nothing to loose" attitude, I popped back to the retailer, and queried with them, exactly how long I should expect a pair of shoes to last... As a goodwill gesture, they gave me a replacement pair of shoes.

Well FB - it seems you may have stumbled onto something there...I think i will have to give it whirl! Do you think it would work with handbags? Or gloves...or dresses? Oooh...maybe gloves. I need new gloves... whistful "sigh...":happyhear

Sorry Stuart - no can do.:D
If I'm paying £50 plus for a pair of shoes, I don't expect them to fall to bits in a matter of months. Perhaps a slightly blinkered judgement, since my previous pair lasted 3 years.
I pondered over the course of action and decided I'd return to the retailer and put my case forward in a rational manner. I'm pleased I did.
I got an exchange receipt for the shoes and the reason for return was "Sole disintegration". The manager didn't say as much, but I got the impression that they had a number of complaints about that style of shoe.

Stuart - I'm slightly disappointed that FB has nothing interesting to tell us on the gloves and dresses front!!:rotfl:
I do think women have a different view on footwear to men (hopefully I'm not being stereotypical!) I do like a pair of shoes to last me a good few years, but I have A LOT of them, so perhaps they don't get as much wear...;)MBNA - [STRIKE]£7068.60 [/STRIKE] £7060.00 Egg - 1422.35 A&L - [STRIKE]£249.32[/STRIKE] £215.00Loan - £13279.50 :rolleyes:0 -

I, also, am disappointed not to hear anything interesting about the gloves and dresses
I have difficulty finding comfortable shoes so I don't often shop for them. I would really like a pair of stiletto heels but, sadly, my feet wouldn't.
Yes, my mortgage pig groans with being fed pennies. I will have to go out for lunch this week with a couple of friends to get away from the noise:rotfl:
I think a little treat is best when first anticipated for a short while and then thoroughly enjoyed, however, I bought a different cheese today just for the he*l of it

Me too:D I reaaly hate shoe shopping. I know why Imelda Marcus had millions of pairs of shoes....it was because she was trying to find a comfortable pair:rotfl:0 -
Oooh...SMF2 an OP! I love shoe shopping - you're missing out! One problem I do have though is... I need fancy shoes to go partying at Christmas. The only thing I can find is sandals! With the risk of sounding like my mother (a wonderful woman
), who wants to wear sandals in the middle of winter - cold feet are bad!!!:D
Good news...sold another book - I have managed to make quite a decent profit there. Good stuff!
Can someone PLEASE remind me to cancel my insurance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:mad:MBNA - [STRIKE]£7068.60 [/STRIKE] £7060.00 Egg - 1422.35 A&L - [STRIKE]£249.32[/STRIKE] £215.00Loan - £13279.50 :rolleyes:0
