Shopgirl Trying to Sort It out!

Hi!

After lurking around this site for weeks, I thought that I would finally give this diary malarky a go!

I bought my wee (bijoux, I believe some would say!) flat 2 1/2 years ago by getting a mortgage that meant I was constantly over-stretching myself...however, after a couple of lovely pay rises, I'm in the position to try and sort myself out.

Thanks to the fabulous StuartGMC, for providing me with the magic spreadsheet, I am going to keep track of my comings and goings and (hopefully) make my first mortgage over payment this month.:j

I'm hoping that by keeping this diary it will make me think about my pennies, instead of just spending them...fingers crossed! Even if no-one reads this, at least I can keep track myself...

Anyhoo! Will stop waffling now - just thought...I suppose I need a signature too!

Take care.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

I'm fairly new to this too, although have been gearing up to it for a while.

Hope we can keep each other motivated, I love reading everyone's diaries on here.

  • Oh dear...it seems the harder I try to be good - the worse I am!

I had quite an expensive weekend, but this was (mostly) accounted for, however, since then I have spent a ridiculous amount buying unecessary bits and bobs - THIS is what I need to keep an eye on. I also tried to fill in a form which would ensure my student loans would continue to be paid for me and I forgot to fill in one bit and left one of the sheets on my desk - typical...I try to be organised!!! This means that I will have the repayment taken out of my account, bbut I should get it back...hope everyone else is slightly more organised!;)
