Wow, brilliant! What site are you using to get the credit score? I've never bothered. Is it the same as lenders would actually see?

Is it then possible to get a couple of new cards and balance transfer some of the high percentage debts or are you down to just loans now?

The hard work is paying off! I cannot believe how good it is making me feel! 2 years ago I was devastated to see that poor score - I couldn't even get a vanquis card for goodness sake (only did it for the cashback on topcashback, but even so!).....

I reckon their systems are up the shoot and they are giving everyone 999 automatically......would be just my luck to check on the day they are having a glitch!!

I use creditexpert.com - go through quidco for cashback of course....... They are Experian who are one of the main reference agencies and have I have always been referred to them when I have been refused credit etc, so I think they are reasonable to go and check.

They acknowledge that I have a lot of credit, but also say that I have paid on time, have no arrears blah blah, so I am a low risk. I wonder if the speed at which I have been paying off has also had any impact?

Gemmz I am down to loans now, so will just get cracking and get them paid off - they are rates that are quite high, but that is actually an incentive to get rid of them sooner - I worry that if I got a 0% or something I might be tempted to take my foot off the gas.....can't have that!!!

  • Don't be pessimistic now, 999 is brill and not down to a glitch at all..it is the cold talking...

Did you also read in Martin's email letter that rate tarting is going to start affecting your credit rating as the banks are going to start checking with each other, soon there will be no more swapping from 0% card to 0% card!
