I blame you entirely for my cold P - you breathed in the same air space as me about 10 days ago, so it must be your fault :rotfl:
Off to boots when they open for some Beechams.........
Hope you soon feel better, and don't work too hard today. Get some rest in somewhere.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Hypno, what a pain to get a bug! Do some visualisations as you're slurping back the Beechams. It *is* sad about Woolies, isn't it ...It was the biggest store I could get to on foot aged 7, and it was a long way (7 year olds went out on their own all day in those days!). I feel affection for it too.
Mizmir! You're back!!! :wave:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Poor old Woolies - I love the place. I suppose they'll keep the stores open for a while and hopefully see the staff through Christmas but nothing's certain. And all the small towns that have a Woolworths local - hopefully they'll turn them into something useful as they're often the only place to pick up cheap bits and pieces, a lot of people are going to miss out.
Hypno, I totally agree about Economics for dummies. Does that moron really think that 2.5% is going to make the slightest bit of difference? How many people here are going to spend a fortune now just because it might cost a few pence less? Total rubbish, and costing you and I a fortune in tax over the next few years. He should have increased VAT by a % or two and given us all a £1k Xmas bonus instead. Makes my blood boil!0 -
Oh, the reason I popped in (before I got distracted by my rant!) was to say I got my Qype voucher today - yay!
Anyone else who gets one, check the expiry date as a few people have said theirs was up today instead of 2009.0 -
hypno - sorry you're feeling bleugh... hope it passes quickly....
karma, pania (and all) - hi! :santa2: Back and planning a new (and hopefully final) push - Xmas 2009! Perhaps new diary in order so I don't hijack hypno's too much.....0 -
Hypno the first batch of amazon vouchers went out last night and I now have mine! Have you got yours yet? It has a year to be used but I think mine will be doing some christmas presents for OH in the next few days!0

In my excitement I didnt see pandapaws had already posted about the qype voucher!Oh well my post shall just be happy as opposed to informative!
My OH likes beechams but I think day nurse/ night nurse are the best. They make you feel like you are not ill for four hours which is brilliant as you can just get on with your day. Oh and the night nurse knocks you out so you dont keep waking up bunged up/ coughing etc. Feel better soon!0 -
I got my Amazon Voucher too. It looked like junk mail though!Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500
