Hypno's "there's more to life than debt" diary.....

Evening all. I have to say, Woollies had it coming. It was the worst organised shop ever. The 'window display' in our high street always consisted of piles of boxes and sometimes when I went in the shop was such a mess I wondered if I'd accidentally wandered in on a stock-taking day.
Now I wonder who will be selling off all the old Woollies stock - there must be loads of half useful things to flog off before Christmas.
I'm not going to comment on Hypno's new £30k-in-a-year challenge as I am so jealous.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
That was my question. End of an era. And what a horrible Christmas for 30000 people who work there. Hope they can salvage something for them.

Woolies when I worked there (many years ago) was one of the best places on the high street - great staff training, etc etc. I know it has gone downhill over the last few years, and probably had it coming, but I really loved that job on the record counter!!!! I'm surprised Whsmith haven't gone either, they only seem to sell the stuff you can get in any supermarket but at twice the price
