thank you all so much for your kind words....it certainly has been a nightmare of a few months and i am hoping that following last nights events the worst is now definately over.......
fil finally passed away last night and although it sounds awful, it really is a relief. He had not been at all well for a considerable amount of time and had lost all quality of life.. the stress that all of the family have had to live with has been heartbreaking and although i know how selfish it sounds, i am quite pragmatic about these situations, so for me, I am glad that it has finally concluded... hopefully now, everyone can finally grieve for the man they lost several months ago and concentrate on what he brought to their lives rather than watch a man they loved waste away before their eyes...
anyway, now that i have spread the doom and gloom you have become used to from me (i am such a depressing trout!!), i have some good stuff too!!
Frazz (my puppy) went back to the vet this morning...all is well, his wound is healing well and apart from one of his toes being at a wierd angle as it is no longer attached to a tendon, the rest of them are doing good!!he currently has a wonderful purple and blue cast on (they started with purple then ran out so he is multi coloured!!) and is still enjoying being waited on hand and foot!! They are changing the cast every week and he is being an absolute angel...apparently they frequently have to sedate dogs for the procedure, but he is just lying back and enjoying the attention!!
Also got paid today from job two so have paid another lump off the mortgage...three hundred and a bit squid....will pay more off when i get paid from job one at the beginning of march.....still heading in the right direction despite all the setbacks :j :T i have decided that once this month is over and the funeral complete, i will hurl myself back into it with a vengence!! i am looking forward to getting some type of normality back into my life....all i need to do is sleep for a week first!!!0 -
Sending sympathies to the family, even though expected it still doesn't hit home until it finally happens xx
Glad doggie is getting better and well done on overpayment.
Have a good rest then we'll be here to support your next chapter in your MF journey x0 -
Sympathies to you and the family. I agree with your sentiments, now I can think of my gramp as he was before he got ill rather than how he was near the end.
I think I may call your puppy Joseph with his mutlicoloured dream cast.
Congratulations on the op and I hope you have a nice long sleep.
P.S. those savoury pancakes with peppers sounded lovely:DCurrently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

Sincere condolences and here's hoping now that, like the lengthening days, things all move positively for you and the family0

My condolences as well hon, hope all the family are ok. Those of us who have been through similar can empathise with the mixed emotions you're going through.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Hello everyone!! Long time no write, naturally because of the latest instalment in the crisis that is my life!!! :rotfl:
I have been away for a while due to a variety of reasons, while i won't bore you with the ins and outs, the basics are that my car finally quit in its entirety, so i have had to find the cash to replace it, my day job had gone beyond a joke so i have left it...i do have another job to go to, i am just not sure when it is due to start but should hopefully have a better idea by tuesday....and i am literally flying by the skin of my pants financially for the next two months as a result.._pale_....
However, on the bright side....the new car is lush in comparison to the heap of scrap it has replaced - it has all the things i want in a car; a good heating system, a loud stereo and it goes fast!!!
The other good thing is the job i will start shortly is a higher salary than i was on so i am happy with that from an mfw point of view and from a personal view it will give me a greater sense of satisfaction and better utilise my skills..:T
Finances are difficult at the moment but it will improve shortly. I am going to start to re-evaluate all my budgets whilst i have this couple of weeks between jobs (still have my part time job though!!) but am confident that i am still going to have a really good crack at meeting my targets. Even if i do have to extend the time frame by twelve months, i won't worry considering all the set backs i have had!
I am trying to get control of the food budget again, all this turmoil over the past few months has pretty much thrown everything out of the window, but i have decided to do a once a month cooking thing to minimise both my spend and the additional stress of having to come up with something interesting to consume every night.....i will start the challenges of grocery and nsd's when i start getting a regular wage again and up until that point will try to make the most budget meals as possible from what i have in!
I have also spring cleaned my house and introduced the concept of housework to my children at the same time.....i want to get organised in every aspect of my life now, no time to mess around anymore, while the coast is clear on the crisis front i have to make the most of it!!
Anyhoo, i have waffled for a ridiculously long time... thanks for sticking with it!! i will catch up on all diaries over the next couple of days, just off now to do a little tidying up and have a coffee!!0 -
Hi Frazz,
You've been through so much recently, I hope the new job works out well for you and you can catch your breath again. Best wishes for continued progress.
