Evening all.
The boiler is fixed!! and we can now have nice warm heating, when we get cold enough that it has to go on!!
I've been really good on my diet today, and I've had another sale on Amazon. Redundancy money is still not in and I will chase it on Friday if I haven't seen it by then.
Still got everything cross about the job on Weds and hopefully I will get some good news.
I'm going to have a quiet evening tonight and probably watch something on TV and curl up with the cat, need to find out how NB's back is, but he should be working so will text him in a bit.
Other than that nothing to report, a NSD here, as I haven't left the house, which I find helps with the whole NSD thing :rotfl:
Will have a look tomorrow and see if I can find anything else to pop on EBay and Amazon, I'm sure there is loads and spending a day sorting everything out will keep me busy and my mind of food so win win!

Hey Guys
Well I didn't get anything I wanted to done today. But had a fun day out on a day trip instead!
I went out with an old friend, so I've been to Tintern Abbey, Monmouth (to see the very small castle and have lunch) then we went to the Big Pit in Blaenavon (?) which is where my friend family are originally from and mined in Big Pit.
We went down the mine, with the hard hats and light etc, all very good and well worth a visit. And it's free!!! They just ask for a donation, which is worth every penny, it's brilliant!!
Got home about 6 and have had some dinner and now I am just buming around. Should hear back about the job tomorrow, so fingers crossed.

Hey guys.
I didn't get that job, but I have 2 interviews tomorrow so hopefully one of them will come off.
I've had my redundancy paid into my account, so I need to make that last. I am still hoping that I will get a job wuickly enough to be able to completely pay off my cc and then have some money left for savings, even if it's only a small amount.
So keep your fingers crossed for me.
Feeling a little low today, and I guess having the money paid in has helped as it's all over now.Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
Oh and I have paid £70 off my cc today as the money from Amazon cleared!!
So that's gone down a little bit. But I need to get some more things listed.Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
Ok
I can't really do a full SOA as I'm not earning anything at the moment. But, this is what I am working with:
Currently in my account, Redundancy being paid:
£3,409.10 total.
These are my bills:
Rent - £240
lens - £10
RAC - £13.42
Insurance - £25.10
Phone - £20
Loan - £284.34
Internet - £12.49
CC - £50 min
Which totals £655.35 if I add up right
I have cover on my cc and loan which I will activate next week as I will have been out of work for the required length of time. I will also look into job seekers, but what to give these 2 interviews a chance first.
I don't want to cut back on the rent I pay Mum as she is struggling at the moment.
£50 is over the min payment for my CC and I intend any extra Ebay/Amazon money to go towards this to help out on it, then any redundancy money that is left will pay it off.
Obviously I am not including spends and petrol, but I intend to only spend on these when I really need to. NB is aware of the situation and is happy for me to catch the train to see him and stay or he will come over to me.
Basically if I am careful I could make this last 4/5 months, with Ebay and Amazon money added to it.
I've just listed a few more things on Amazon and will hit Ebay on Friday after my interviews. I have loads of stuff I can sort out and list and if I am brave, I will hit the attic and see what's up there (but I have to be brave to do that!)
You all know I am on with loads of agencies who are looking out for temp work for me to which would bring in some money.
But really it doesn't look to bad so long as I am careful. Or am I just trying to convince myself that!!Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
Have you looked into temping at all to bring some money in? It'll not be fantastic wages but it'll surely be better than JSA (? Although I don't know much about this) and you never know, it may lead to a permanent thing? If you're temping, they usually don't mind giving you time off for interviews and it's nice because you can be really open about where you're going, and can you have a reference and so on.
Or even the shops will be looking for Christmas staff now won't they? It would be great if you could live off something other than the redundancy for the meantime and could save it up and bang it off the debt once you do get a permanent thing.Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
I'm on all the temping lists with the agencies, but nothing seems to be coming in.
But 2 interviews today so hopefully one of them will come off!!
Thanks though xCurrent debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
Right.
Off for my 1st interview in a minute, but thought I would just jot down a quick hello.
Interview one is at 10am, number 2 is at 2pm so I have loads of time inbetween. Not really nervous, just would like someone to give me a job please!!
Should be seeing NB later, he has been signed off work for a week with a bad back, so means I get to spend some more time with himAlthough no bowling for us this week!
Spends will be nice and low again, nothing for the interviews as parking is free and then only what I spend later which wont be much and NB isn't really supposed to be doing all that much.
Then it's Friday and my physio appointment. Oh what an exciting life I lead!

Good luck with the interviews, and have a good time with NB! xDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

Ok one, interview down and it seemed to go ok, should hear either later today or tomorrow if they want to see me again.
It's mat cover and less money than I was on, but I guess it's better to be in work earning less, than out of work earning nothing!! And they have said they would keep someone on if they fitted in and did the job well. So that doesn't sound to bad.
Next one if at 2 so will be getting ready for it soon.Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0
