  • Ooh fingers crossed, sounds a bit serendipitous to me! Maybe the guy was acting like that to try and intimidate you into lowering what you ask for?

    I got to JOB!!!! :D

Apparently the lady in HR (their HR director actually) was so desperate to have me in the company, she told him that was fine and is writing a pay review into my contract to take place in 6 months as it's a bit less than I was on.

But better to be in work earning about £60 a month less (which I can afford to lose) than sat at home earning nothing!!!

SO I am really excited, although I do need to get some new stuff for the office now  I have a new pair of trousers and a very nice pair of knee high boots, that at £35 I thought were a nice bargain!!

Off out with NB to celebrate in a bit, but I am very excited and I start on Monday :j :T :D

I'm so glad to hear it; I've been keeping an eye on progress but it is difficult to know what to say.

I daren't say don't worry because you will....

Hope you enjoy the new job more than the old; so you have a new job quickly and the redendancy money can be put to good use!

Date was very enjoyable thanks... but they always are :D. Although NB is very busy at the moment, and is tried but is trying to stay cheerful. And is even managing it sometimes!

He has a halloween shift at the pub tonight :rotfl:

Me, I've been getting things sorted for next week, panicking about dress code etc, but I'm sure it will be ok. I've had my contract and everything through so have read it all and just need to sign it now.

I will be getting paid at the end of every month, so will have my first pay packet at the end of Nov, which means I will have to use some of my redundancy, and probably wont be able to pay off ALL my cc, but most of it will go leaving me with a couple of payments I think. But I will know more at the end of the month.

Off to see a friend tomorrow evening for takeaway and tv which will be fun, and I have another friend due back from Oz soon and I'm expecting a Ozzy gift and a celebratory something for my new job. And no I am not a demanding mate or anything :rotfl:

But feeling really good at the moment. I even managed a little bit of housework eariler. Still loads to do, but the place already looks better.

    Evening!

Right tomorrow is my first day at my new job!!! I'm nervous, but excited at the same time.

I've made lunch (egg and cheese Salad!), done all my ironing for the week :D and filled in all my paperwork!

So right now I am just chilling out, going to work out what I am wearing tomorrow in a minute, got to get the first impression right!

And I am off back to Slimming World tomorrow night after work, I finish work at 5 and class is at 5.30 so I have no reason not to go and it will get me back into the routine of it all. And then next week I am go back to Salsa and pick that up again, in the hope I will get a bit fitter!

Feeling positive, but have the butterfly tummy going on :rotfl: Oh well, it's only your first day once right.
