    Evening all.

Not seeing NB today, not only has he hurt his back, but he has a cold now to  So is having some time to recover. Might see him tomorrow is he's feeling better.

Eaten a load of junk today and feel really sluggish which is delightful.

Interviews went ok I think, should get some more feedback tomorrow. And hopefully one will want me. Both are long term temps, one for 5 months and the other mat leave and then possibly perm, which would be better really.

Other than that nothing much to report really. Feeling a little low, but that could be a combination on the stress of interviews and the junk food. Just hope it doesn't last.

    Right.

Feeling really fed up tonight, but I am not going to get another batch of depression. So I need to make some positive changes.

    These will be:

    - To eat healthier.
I currently feel fat, sluggish and generally a bit err. So my fueling my body with nice and healthy things that will improve, giving me more energy etc.

    - To apply for more jobs
I am bored sat at home, so the more jobs I apply for the more likely I am to find one, and it will keep me busy which will mean I wont eat so much.

    - To do some exercise everyday
I'm not working which gives me the opportunty to get out there and do some walking, or get my bike out. It doesnt have to be much, but anything will be better than watching carpy tv.

    - I'm also going to have a big sort out and declutter so I have some more things to put on EBay and Amazon which will raise some money, but also give me some nice clear living space.

    - I am also going to spend more time with NB and try to be less shy and more proactive etc.

At least then I will be taking postive action in my life and not always reacting to the things that happen to me. I have a course on Saturday which is about building confidence, so that will hopefully help a little.

But that doesn't stop me feeling poo now, or that fact that I have over eaten and feel like a beached whale!!!

Ah well there is always tomorrow!

  • Hi Lucy, hope you're feeling better this morning! I bet even writing that list helped a bit. It's a good idea to try and use the time you have on your hands at the mo to try and declutter etc, you'll be back at work before you know it and looking round at the mess thinking "I really wish I'd done this when I could"! Excercise definitely helps with the sluggish and 'down' feelings too, must be the endorphins! Even if it's cold, get yourself out for a brisk walk and when you come back your cheeks will be all rosy and glowing :)
Hope you get some good news today about those jobs x

    Morning.

I do feel better today. I've done a Lidl run and stocked up on loads of fruit and nice stuff like that.

I've heard back about one job which I didn't get, but have had some positive feedback from the other they are just checking if I could get some time off for interviews as it's only a contract until March working for my local district counicl which is due to merge with the county council in April and no one's job is save then. But that means I would be able to pay off my cc and get some savings by then. And hopefully job hunting in March might be a little better.

But I will let you know once I hear back from them

Still feeling a little low, but that is just one of those things.

Ok I didn't get the job, the guy was just wondering if I wanted it. Apparently there was someone with a bit more experience than me.

I really am getting fed up of this now!! I just want a job and earn some money!!!

    I want to cry now.

    - Actually I am not going to cry. I am going to get myself some lunch and then write a list of the places I can look for more work. Print off loads of application forms and send them off. Crying is not proactive and I promised myself I would be proactive!!

  • Aw, sorry to hear about the jobs. I know it's hard and I've been in that position before, going for interviews all the time and feeling as though no-one will give you a chance. Keep up the momentum though, you'll get there!

    I know. It'll be fine.

On a plus point, I've stuck to the diet all day which means I will feel better in the morning.

I sat at home, doing nothing which isn't good for me at the moment. NB looks like he's busy as he's not returned my call yet, and I have no where to go. Still everything will be ok.
