Good evening everyone,
Had a quick skim over today (very quick im afraid) and want to wish Heidi good luck, although her light is now off, so hopefully she will be back with lovely news soon!!!!
:hello: Taplady, mrs mix, Shez, twink and ivyleaf - and everyone else!
Had a very busy week, not with lots of children, but having the baby everyday - i know i dont have the time on the computer as i did before, but i must admit, i dont mind, im having a lovely time looking after her, i wouldve loved more children but it wasnt to be, so my job can give me so much joy, even though its hard work sometimes!
Not much been happening here, my oven has broken - i think its the thermostat as when i turn it on, no matter what temp i use, it heats to the highest it can so if i dont stay right next to it, opening the door all the time etc, everything burns! I dont have the money at the moment to replace it, so will have to make do the best i can at the moment. The biggest disadvantage is my cake/biscuit making but thats not always a bad thing (for me anyway).
DS is at a friends house tonight, having a sleepover for his mates birthday, so DD and i are in bed watching X Factor and eating doughnuts and popcorn!! It is nice to spend time with her - next week DS is off for the weekend with his dad, so we will be having a really girly weekend together.
Oh, last week their dad really showed what an a*se he really is - DD was getting upset about going so i texted him to say what would they be doing, and he texted back to say he was only 10 minutes away (an hour early so we wernt really ready) and was only spending a couple of hours as he was going to Barnstaple hospital! Well i had arranged to go out with my friend, so when he got here, i was brave and stuck to my guns (normally i dont, but phoned my friend who told me i had to stand up to him) Said that i was out until 4 so if he wasnt prepared to see his children for a desent amount of time, they wernt going, that i knew he must only be visiting someone at hospital, as he lived in Bristol and anyway, they dont do appointments on a Sunday (he then started going on about how it wasnt any of my business what he was doing at the hospital, so i agreed and said i didnt want to know either, he looked a bit put out when i said that!!!) and visiting was until 8, so he would still have plenty of time. He backed down and agreed. DD then came down, i asked her in front of him if she wanted to go, she said no so i said 'i want you to see that i am not pursading her not to go, this is her discission' (sp) and he said yes, he knew that!! Well off he went with DS - i am still a bit put out that he didnt even try to pursade DD to go, one of the reasons she doesnt go is that she hardly sees him, so for him to so blatently show her he didnt care really does make me angry, and im sure it must hurt DD too. Hes back next week to take DS to London for his birthday, but when they got back last Sunday, he had bought him a framed, signed, limited edition Arsenal shirt (no comments about todays score please!!!) - not a cheap pressie by any means, and another reason to be angry really, he would never do this for DD, and he makes it so obvious too. DD knows, and has obviously made her discission, but one day i think DS will (although he does know now, but at 12 he doesnt really consider anyone else yet) also dislike what his dad has done, but then that will be his own fault!!!
Goodness, ive driveled on long enough - im off to finish watching X Factor and see if i can catch up on the pages of comps i need to enter!!!
I hope everyone has a lovely evening,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
