    Morning all

Quite foggy outside, but I like these crisp fresh mornings.

A day of cleaning today here f010.gif:(

Friends are coming over later, so I will have help with getting the bathroom done, as I can't manage that properly. I feel awful having someone clean up after us, even though I know she doesn't mind.

Anyway, today, WM is already on. I need to go and put the BM on and make up some yoghurt as we're nearly out.

I want DDs to go through their videos to see what they don't want anymore. We don't really watch videos, so they take up a lot of space. I also have several that were taped off the TV years ago, that I know we will never watch, so those are going too. I'm trying to be ruthless, although it doesn't always work. [Sleeping bags have gone back in the cupboard :o ]

I need to sort out our meal plans for the next week, and hope to do some batch cooking over the weekend, as the freezer is starting to empty again.

Hope you all have a great day. ((((HUGS)))) to those who need them.

    Pipkin xxxx

    Morning all,

Woke up with a massive nosebleed this morning, quite a harrowing experience seeing as I have only had about 2 nosebleeds in my life, there was blood everywhere!

Going to the Alpaca open day today, I have a friend coming with me, then we should be going and getting some lunch etc. I want to go into Rosebys in Plymouth as the TV said they have just gone into admin and ae closing down.
Other than that, I want to start sanding my cupboard down and have a couple of Ebay parcels to post. Will get some washing on as well.

Hope you all have a great day

Edit: Just got my Fool newsletter and The Book People have currently got all 27 CDs of the Roald Dahl collection for £18.99 - thinking Christmas here. Linky. I might buy it anyway, despite not having anyone to buy it for atm, I'm sure I will do in the future!

  • Morning everybody,

    Hope you're OK now Blairweech.

Mioliere - Churchmouse popped into the thread yesterday ;)

Happy birthday Mr Diva (or should that be Il Divo :D)

I'm up early (for a Saturday) because I didn't trust myself to be up on time otherwise. Singing at a wedding at lunchtime - paid, hurrah! - and it seems love is in the air because yesterday I also got an invitation to my cousin's wedding next May. His W2B is Turkish and they will be having a Turkish style wedding.

I've "won" a 14" portable TV on Freecycle, am picking it up tomorrow afternoon. I'm really pleased about this as my bedroom telly conked out months ago and I didn't want to splash out on replacing it because it's certainly a luxury rather than a necessity. The address I have to pick it up from is very handy for buses home, so I won't even have to take it home in a minicab :T I've given loads of stuff away on FC but this is only the second thing I'll ever have gained from it.

i'll be making a big sausage casserole later, sausages are out of the freezer but must stop off on my way home this afternoon to pick up veg.

Anyway, see you all later - hugs for all in need.

    Love Rzl xx

    Hello new Peeps and welcome
SMOKEY AND ANNISTAR lovely to see you posting.
ESSEX-GIRL my DS never eats anything normal for breakfast, he'll be a great student when he's older as he's been known to eat left-over pizza and pea and ham soup!:D

Big hugs to anyone who needs one this morning.

Didn't sleep too well last night, it was so noisy at work and it took me ages to wind down. I fell asleep on the sofa and then when I went to bed couldn't get off properly. Oh well at least i'm up a bit earler as I have loads to do.

Roast chicken for dinner today, OH is on an early.

    Off to get organised.

    Have a good day all

    Morning :hello:

Essex-girl, the pig works out to £1 per lb. This includes everything, but if there's anything we dont want (like the head and trotters - no thanks!) then we still have to pay for it, but don't bring it home - he cooks it and feeds it to his dogs :D . We're lucky with the price because our friend sells cheap to friends. He sells 3/4 of each pig (he sells by the quarter) and keeps a quarter for himself, after all his costs his quarter is free so that's his 'profit'. He gets the slaughterhouse to do all the work (I wouldn't know where to start lol) so when we pick it up, we have sausages, chops and joints. He always asks us which end of the pig we want, so far we've always picked the front so we haven't had bacon or ham yet :D

Speaking of pig, we couldn't pick it up the other day, the slaughterhouse was fully booked so we had to wait. We're getting it today, which means I get to wander round the smallholding feeling jealous and dreaming about what mine be like :D

I've had sheets on the washing line for four days, do you think it's about time I got them in? :D
