haha i bet you looked a retard ajax. I turned up to a party once a day early, we had even come back a day early from a holiday just so i could. I felt a div walking in and the waiter looking baffled!

Thanks for the advice! We do have two computers and a laptop but thats not the point, matt built one and we bought the one in question. I think mum realises now because i said about how i wanna wipe it and "if im giving it to stuart for nothing" ha. Hopefully it will be sorted.

Im meant to do be doing my dissertation but im going food shopping with my mum for a food shopping lesson later. After ive had another bacon sandwhich for lunch (must be 27 times out of 30 that ive had a bacon sandwhich for lunch!)

oh and i caught the 2 mins silence this time.

oh and basically matt and i bought a comp 2 years ago, cost £400 (lot of money for us as we were both part time at the time) now my mum is on about my brother having it upstairs, so he's basically getting a computer to watch pron on for nothing. I know this for a fact because i went on a website which was not pretty. I didnt think it was fair. end of story!

but yea, i dont think its fair to just give this to my brother. Maybe im being tight but it was alot of money for us, and hes getting a computer for nothing. Tell me im right... someone?? heh

Hi Vix - sorry to hear you're having such a bad time at the moment. I'm tempted to say 'welcome to real life' as all of us have probably had similar things to put up with, but you do seem to have more than your fair share all at once.

Regarding the computer, you and Matt paid for it, so it belongs to you. Your Mum has no right to assume she can give it to your brother. She may have forgotten the minor detail of who actually paid for it (Mum's can be absent minded sometimes!) so have you told her it belongs to you?

I can't understand the parking thing - anyone paying a permit would expect to park near to their home, not 5 minutes walk away! Is it dangerous to park near the flats? (i.e. to passing traffic.)

I can't see why your mum would just assume that she can give to your brother, if you wanted to you could but don't see why your mum has decided that one for you:confused: maybe if you want some money back for it as it will not now be worth what was original paid you could ask your brother to pay something to you? Or if your mum wants to buy it on behalf of your brother then maybe the same?
I reckon if you explain to her how much it cost and money was tight then and it was expensive and cannot just right off that price and that money she would pay something ..... or has your brother got something that you could make use out of? Do like a swap, my comp for your....

  • I have decided to use this swapbox to mark the beginning and a renewed attempt on sorting out stuff inc the old weightloss...so I plan to write a mini traget in my shiny new notebook everyday and see if I can achieved it...today's target is to simply tidy my desk...I'm hoping if I can get other parts of my life organised it'll rub off on everything else! that and writing in the notebook will remind me of lois and the other peeps on this thread which may in turn make me think a little more about what I shove in my gob :p
Hi seren - how's the sorting plan coming along?
Vix - I guess you mum must think you've moved out and taken your stuff and left this downstairs in her space so she wants it out the way and has done that. I think you'll need to collect it and take it to your place if it's yours.
Sorry things are stressful at the mo. Do you not have a signed tenancy agreement with the stuff about parking allowance on it?
Good luck with the shopping lesson.

Ha! And you thought your grand schemes had passed unnoticed:D . Go and fondle your shiny new notebook and get in touch with the feeling you had when you received it. I, in the meantime, will be scaling new heights on Mount Washing Up. I may need crampons and an oxygen mask...
