Lose Weight 23

1lb loss for me please lois. This is a step in the right direction: the 1st of 7 I need to lose to get back to my 'maintain' weight. I wonder why sometimes it is easy to be focused and 'in the zone' and othertimes, like now, seem unable to last more than 2 days on the plan?
Interestingfood day today. A can of cold baked bean for breakfast (end of the month and out of food and cereal's a waste of time for me in the morning, just doesn't keep me full for 1/2 hr, not even porrige) Just got in and had a late lunch of 2 bananas and a chochy tea cake- just bought the one or the whole box would go as the moment. Don't worry folks, I usually eat very balanced meals. Though baked beans & bananas probably mean I've had 4 of my 5 a day now:D .
Finished my swop box shopping today so need to wrap & post:j .
Missy - your number crunching has been very interesting to follow over the year. And particularly now with the enforced rest and exercise slow down - it would be great if this enables you to stay on at leat 1500 cals. Good luck with the 1600.
Suggs - hope you had a great hols with Mrs S.
Lois :sounds like you both had an excellent time. Quick on quickoff they say, so good luck. Beanie, well done on continuing to maintain:T .
kpc - hope the 1kg of snot clears up soon:D
Lots of newbies now that I haven't kept up with so well as I haven't been around so much - well done on various losses. I have found that keeping posting here really helped my 2 st weight loss last year.
I may not post every day at the moment but I do read the thread every day.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Hi all. Reporting in with a loss of 2lb for this week. Went back to the running yesterday (after a few weeks off) and was pleased to complete the 5km in just under 33 mins. A long way off my best but still glad that my (pseudo) fitness had not deteriorated too much. I think the key is to plan plan plan which I intend to do in the next few weeks - with food and with exercise.
Feeling positive about stuff. I agree, BB, it is odd how sometimes it is far easier than other times to be focussed. I also hope that I weight the same in January as I did last January - then in my very own special way (!) I will also have maintained for a year...0 -
well done efrieze for getting back to running and on the 2lb loss. Glad you popped in.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0

God i hate not having the internet. 123 and 4 are crap (on the tv) so boring on my own.
Matt and i have two new family members though! Fudge and alf, our guinea pigs! Theyre so cute and keep me amused. Alf is a serial weeer though, hes weed on matt, mum and me. Good job its not smelly like cats wee though!
House is going well, my work colleague (of three years this saturday!) has bought me a microwave! wel excited to get that home. We went to Folkstone, and then critiqued their lingerie department cos were proper sad.
i totally forgot about the swap boxes, is this gunna sound dumb? but does it have to be in a box?
I gotta pick up matt from work and think about dinner. It might be spagetti again ha. I got a £10 clothes voucher from pigsback though! what a time for that to come when im poor and look like last years cast offs!

God I love reading your posts vixarooni, they are a breath of fresh air and always make me laugh!
I don't think the swop boxes have to be actual boxes, sure hope not because I sent mine off today at it was not in a box!:p
Off to Belgium tomorrow and my eating for the last 2 days has been horrendous! I have eaten loads of peanut butter and jam sandwiches, a whole pizza, the best part of a walmut cream cake, several glasses of wine and meat with rice and meat with pasta. I don't know whats wrong with me, I havn't been this stupid to myself for such a long time!:eek::o - hope I get over it soon because I am not really even enjoying it, oh yes also several mini battenburg cakes too:eek:. I think it may be a good idea for me to be leaving the country right now, perhaps a change of scene will do me good. Keep your fingers crossed for me everyone!
Love

For me it is boredom, hunger, change, being greedy, needy, feeling like you should be eating this or that to just be like everyone is having rather than alienated and 'different meals' and sometimes it is just plain rebellion:rolleyes:
I may not post every day at the moment but I do read the thread every day.
I read it daily also but sometimes have nothing to add;)
I agree with you retiredlady sometimes no matter how lovely the food is you just don't enjoy it and end up doing it for the sake of it like xmas, how much food is eaten then not because of hunger, need but because of it being there?:rolleyes:0 -
Thanks FFM, I appreciate the reply. I still think it's to do with all the exercise because when I had my enforced break from exercise, the weight loss corresponded exactly with the numbers. Also I'm taking great comfort that I've stalled on 1500/day because earlier in the year I stalled for weeks on 1200/day! So I do feel I've made progress!
I've decided to stay on the case rather than taking a break, and I will try the next 4 weeks at 1600/day. Other than holidays, this will be my highest weekly calorie allowance since I've started maintaining!*scoffs a curly wurly* :rotfl:
Don't know about you or anyone else FFM but I can't wait to celebrate my first year of maintaining! :j
Missy, Good luck on the 1600 cals per day, hope you can get a bit higher to allow for a few treats.
Yes, I am looking forward to saying that I have maintained for a whole year. Not sure when to 'claim' it from. I hit my own personal target on 19th January 2008, however, I carried on losing at a rate of 0.2 - 0.4 lbs per week and have been happily maintaining quite well around my current weight since 18th April 2008 - this is 7lb lighter than I planned but does give me a comfortable 'buffer'.
Today's buffet lunch on our course was a real disappointment, I usually tuck in to some really nice tucker at these. But the selection was dismal and the queue was horrendous. I did receive one 'compliment' (if you can call it that) whilst at the back of the queue - which was "you need to get up to the front before you disappear :rotfl: "
At least I won't have to be so careful over the next 2 days before my weigh in as I didn't eat as much as I thought I was going to.

Lois, the view looks lovely, new avatar too!
Marion, I think the weather and the darker days make us eat more. It's probably a natural thing to 'stock up' for the winter. Have fun in Belgium - they definitely make the best choccy.
Vix, hope you're enjoying your new home, sounds like you are. Glad you asked the swap box question - I was wondering the same thing. I've been a bit slack on the buying for my 'peep' - I've got one thing I think she'll like and I've got some other ideas - but finding the time in between work and preparing for 2 major birthday sleepovers (I must be mad) is currently a bit tricky - but I will do it. I work better to a tight deadline :rotfl:
Beanie - I laughed at your question about the cous cous - it made me think if only you were my swappee I could put lots in for you.
To all the other losers - well done :T
